    i agree

more pac, cotto, mosley, valero in boxing will definately attract more casual fans......

this slick fighters are making casual fans be less interested in boxing....

this is also ther reason why tyson, ali are the most popular boxer, because theyre exciting to watch.

are you kidding? i was in Oakland, it was exciting, and the superior skills of Ward crushed the hyped Kessler.

now your going to say his style is killing boxing just cause your man lost?

well in my eyes, Ward raised the bar for this great sport. You not going to be champion or beat him if your just a bar room brawler. you have to know how to BOX!!!!

        Hatton is an extreme example.

You can be smart and still be entertaining w/ out all the running, holding and fouling.

So if your fighting Mike Tyson you would not advice your boy to hold Mike on the inside.

When you throw punches you dont stay in the same spot and wait for the receipt unless your a complete fool!! get off move over, thats Boxing son.

That's the type of fighter that made me fall in love with boxing. I have a great deal of respect for all boxers who use their mind to get to the top; it takes so much more skill and discipline than simply knocking someone's head off their shoulders.

I thoroughly enjoyed Ward's schooling of Kessler, Mayweather's chess match against Oscar and to a lesser extent Dirrell leaving Froch absolutely baffled with his speed and command of range.

But thats why ricky hatton is one of boxings most popular fighters of the past 10 years, because he fought with his heart, not his brain.

                Thanks for the tip.

I didn't have a man in the fight. I just wanted to enjoy myself last watching a good match and it was ruined by all the factors I mentioned.

I don't mind if they use their brain. I just don't like the excessive holding, running and fouling on the inside.

These things need to be penalized EARLY in the match, to force a better pace.

Hatton's style is the worst of both worlds. Not sure why he keeps getting brought up.
