Ward held and headbutted headbutted his way to a decision, he fought a good fight but against any of the bigger stronger SMWs he will get handled fighting like this. I never really liked his style and I still don't, I hope Mikkel can bounce back from this, I favored him to win this thing.

By the way I'm from the U.S. not Europe, and I still think Ward is garbage and so is his style! It should be interesting when he and Dirrell fight. I was shocked at how one-sided this fight turned out to be. Ward completely shut out Kessler.

I was also hoping to come on here and see the Euro posters give props to America for once, and fair play to the few that have. But already we see the excuses about "intentional" head butts and holding.

Man, say what you want. But Calzaghe's stock just took a big hit tonight. I didn't go out of my way to root for that to happen, because Kessler is a good guy and all. But the fact that Kessler just got schooled and couldn't even make the fight competitive should make people think twice about putting Calzaghe in the top 100 of all time. I know I wouldn't put him anywhere near it. That may sound like I'm taking credit away from Ward, but Calzaghe actually got hurt against Kessler in their fight and lost the last round.

I don't know if Kessler had any personal problems going into this fight, but I know it's well documented that he hardly sparred for Calzaghe because of a bad hand.

HUh? Please leave Calzaghe's name outta this. Ward was dominant tonight, period. It's not like Ward has not had any hype thrown in his direction over the past few years. The guy is an Olympic medalist and was considered one of America's finest young prospects to challenge for a future title. Guess what? He just earned it. Let's not try triangular theory or any of that other weak **** either to try to discredit a retired fighter. Ward beat the crap out of Kessler tonight, not Calzaghe or Mike Tyson, or Clubber Lang, or....nevermind.
