yeah the reason we cant compare Mayweather-Cotto to Pacquiao-Cotto is becuz Mayweather refused to fight Cotto, so we will never know. Even if Floyd thinks Pac isnt a bigger star he is the biggest name out there to make the kind of money Floyd always dreams of. If is not Pac then who is out there that would bring the kind of money a matchup against would bring

Pacman is only really a big star in his home country.

Calling him a big star in the Philippines is the understatement of the year. He is an extreme superstar in the Philippines with 100% backing of 100 million for starters.

Now your statement that "Pacman is only really a big star in his home country" couldn't be more wrong.

He is a huge star in:

Indonesia
Vietnam
Cambodia
Laos
Burnei
Malaysia
Thailand
Burma

These are the countries of Malay ethnicity, the same as Pacman.

I'll bet money he's the favourite amongst boxing fans in all other Asian countries including China, Japan, India, Pakistan etc. I couldn't imagine there's many Mayweather fans in Asia.

He's very popular in Australia and New Zealand.

Europe would be mixed, but I don't think a loud mouth like Mayweather would be gaining a huge following anywhere in Europe.

I couldn't say who's the favourite in Russia and the Middle East.

Africa would probably be more on Mayweather's side, because he's black.

Pacman would be the biggest star in all of South America, Central America and Mexico.

I'd say for sure Pacman has the biggest international following by far. Going by population there's no contest.
