As a highly intelligent, successful, professional and respectful person I resent the comment describing Floyd fans/followers. I have yet to disrespect anyone on this board that does not share my views - not my style. Floyd is undefeated which, despite the many negative comments, is rare. His opponents, just as with many fighters includes tune-ups, no name fighters and A-listers. I always point on that this is a business and business decisions drive these guys, their teams, promotors, etc. daily - fights are made and turned down based on business decisions. Floyd/Pac fight - BUSINESS. ALL BUSINESS. The fight will be made.

about it. There is no need to be disrespect or get out of character but
when it comes to Floyd on here, hell in the majority of Boxing chat sites
people spew out hate and frustration towards the guy that is so negative
that it is hard to beleive that people would hate someone that bad that
they never even met before.
No human being is without mistake and not even the greatest of legends... Ali was a wife-cheater and racist (if you go by his comments), Ray Robinson beat his wife and cheated her, Joe Louis cheated on his wife, Mosley took illegal substances (I know many ppl will cry out now BUT you should get the facts... fact is that he took illegal substances the thing that is in question is if he knew it was illegal... that he took them is without a question)... Pacquiao seems to be a wife-cheater too... so you see every human being has his mistakes... I don't know why Floyd should be without mistake if everybody else does mistakes. People act like he's some kind of murder or rapist or something. But you also not know how old some posters on here are... most of them and if you look at their conclusions you have to be thinking that they can't be grown man.

I like Floyd ...
Remember he fought in the Olympics for America ....
He won but got robbed ...
Now he is considerably the number 1 pound for pound fighter in the world ....
You gotta give him props and and respect his story at least a lil bit ..
Both Pac and May are decent people and excellent boxers ...
They both have Egos though ....
I would like to hear Manny say, "I'm the best. I don't need to call anyone one."

to make the fight with Pacquiao. The funny thing is this is exactly the
reason why Floyd came back to the sport. He wanted to fight the new
P4P and make the most money doing it. I personally think that Cotto
burnt himself out taking on all those challenges back to back like that.
I commend Miguel for being so gutsy and fighting top guys but it would
have also been good for him to chill a lil because look now, all the same
people that criticize Floyd for not fighting the best or every WW is
throwing Miguel Cotto under the bus, the same guy who fought everyone
is getting disrespected and saying that he needs to retire and homie is
29. In life and business in general, your damned if your do and damned
if ya don't and I think Floyd realized that and just does him. Manny is
the flavor of the month and once Floyd beats him then the same people
who said Floyd was scared of Manny will bandwagon a new fighter that
can supposedly beat him. Before it was Margarito then it was Cotto, Mosley
and now Manny. Mararito is a cheater, Cotto is past it according to
many, Mosley is fighting Berto so the best fight is Manny. Can't see how
people can hate on Floyd for taking on the P4P best.

No matter who it is, what size they are, where they fight, when they fight, Mayweather will never get credit. If/when him and Pac fight and he did in fact beat Pac he wouldn't get credit. If he moved on to fight Mosley the #1 WW, he would be considered old. If Mayweather fought Berto he would be green. If he fought Cotto, he would be damaged goods from Marg and Pac. UNLESS he loses then its every named mentioned above was GAME and very PRIME..... As Mayweather stats over and over he never gets credit.
IMO that comes with being that bad guy. Numbers don't lie. He IS a great HOF boxer. People just mix emotions too much with him and want/need him to lose. That's all there is to it. Hate is a powerful drug..... (speaking from experience) lol

Damn all this ****! Get off your high horse people.
You talk as if floyd is blameless from all of these ****s. He had it coming proclaiming he's the best without backing it up. Yes he maybe good but to declare yourself to be the greatest and discredit all other boxers he hasn't faced or will face is simply incredulous.
You as sports fan, if you are really a sports fan should not be the one tolerating it. If you call boxing a sport, then where is the sportmanship? Why all we hear from him and his sides are all trash? It is understandable if it came from fans/*****s/******s or whatever but to hear it from the player himself, how can you respect that?
Now you will all say it's because of business he had to take the bad guy role, what bad guy role are you talking about? Is this the kind of roles you want your kids to look up to? Be a degenerate ****ing slob **** of a man? The hell i would raise my kids like that. WE all know boxing has gone down the drain in terms of respectability but do you really want it to go down to the pit and support it just because of money? Why, did you profit out of it watching two guys slug it out and play dirty? Of course not you didn't unless you're also in the business.
So let's go on the entertainment side, do you really think us casual fans pay to watch boxing to learn it or to be entertained? You do know the answer to that and pls don't say only hardcore boxings fans appreciate what floyd does in the ring, it's completely bull****! You are just tolerating the bull**** that's been going on by robbing people's hard earned money by bloating a featherweight and fight a cheating WW and then call it "schooling and sweet science", That's total crap! "science my ass"...
Do you really think i'm alone feeling it that way? Let me ask you, where does those money came from all these mega fights, from you hardcore boxing fans or from us casual fans? Of course from us casual fans! And do you people think we will put up with all this kind of crap?
So Fck U! you people pontificating here about all these ****s, your opinions is just as lame and as good as mine.

I hope they promote this right. With TV commercial, Internet promos, radio, ect, ect, ect.
boxing needs to start using other ways of promoting fights!!
However you know Mayweather always thinks outside the box and extends his promotion to reach third party networks and demographics that may not be reached by HBO so that should be a big boost. Also these two names pretty much sell themselves at this point.
