    Well if we use that same reason now Pacman, beat the man (Cotto) who beat the man (Mosley) and very concingly also.

    There will be others that would say that Pacman has just 2 fights as a WW (DLH in 2008 and Cotto in 2009) which turned out to be to complete domination against his opponents BTW.

    Well guess what Mosley has 2 fights at WW since Nov. of 2007 (Cotto in 2007 and Margarito in 2009) and out of those 2 fights he lost 1 and quess against who?? Yeah the same guy that Pacman destroyed (Cotto).

    If I would have to pick the #1 WW I would have a small inclination to Mosley because of the catchweight issue with Pacman, but base on the most recent activity and performance I can understand and be comfortable with Pacman being # 1.

    Remember this "title" is of # 1 WW is for the "MOMENT" and at this moment or at least the last 2 years, Pacman's accomplishment at WW have been more impressive,
    Mosley arguably beat Cotto. I thought he edged it 116-112 or 115-113.

    Manny, although he beat Cotto convincingly at 145, and as far as I'm concerned can be regarded as a welterweight, needs to fight at 147 to be able to claim welterweight status.

    Those last 2 lbs can do enormous damage to a fighter, and a perfect case in point is the Corrales-Mayweather fight, where Corrales, who had given up at 130, was induced by "an offer i couldn't refuse" to sweat back down to 130, and, at the weigh-in [after a couple of failures] looked like a walking corpse.

    He also fought like a somnabulistic victim, by far the worst Corrales ever seen.

    So, until Manny fights as a full welterweight, meaning that his opponents can weigh up to 147, I don't think that he should be considered in any welterweight lists.

    He can fight at 145 if he wants, no one will prevent him.

      No rhights for Pacquiao

      As much as pacquiao has done for his legacy ,its can be as grate as it should cos the crying teqnich of catchweight to take advantages and to make week to all of his oponents with the excuses that he may be hur cos been the smaller fighter, BSH. now what excuses is he going to use when he is the welter champ?? , wellter division is till 147 limit,he can't demand nor to force no body in the wellter weight division to fight below 147,if he can't fight 147 fighters then he should go back to 140 division , if the wellter division is to big for him then go back wher he is belowng ,as simple as that ,He has no right to demand to Mosley , Maywether or any body else in the wellter division to fight below to the limit147,if he insist on it , no one of the wellter division should fight him , let him to fight all the class b fighters up ther to see what money is he going to make, if not he shoul retire inded enogh of cheating people with the excuses of been to small ....Bsh.

          Rankings wise yes, he should be the number 1... but in the ring he ain't proved that he is the best.

          I'm also against catchweights BUT even if your people dislike it everything over 140 is Welterweight... so even if the fight was contracted at 145, it was a WW-fight... the same goes out for Mayweather-Marquez. But all that **** should really stop but it won't. If you can have an advantage why shouldn't you try to use it, that's the way human beings are.
          I'm not against "catchweights" as such, but I AM AGAINST catchweights which include a title.

          Manny P and Cotto made a good fight for the fans, but because of the 145 limit, it should NOT have involved the WBO Title.

              It's happened before, it will happen again. If you don't like it, become a sanctioning body.

                  not impressive at all.......mosley is the man at welterweight, dont even mention pacquiao at welterweight because he is fighting at catchweights.......so he is in zombie land;

                    im a mosley fan but lets get real here pac mayweather is the fight that needs to happen to decide the top ww and the best pound for pound fighter in the world. if mosley would have beaten cotto then he would have a case here but he didnt and it wasnt a robbery the margs fight was impressive but lets not forget that margs was caught with illegal wraps right before the fight which no doubt had an effect on margs punching power and mental state going into the fight.
