Even your mindset can change with confidence. Testosterone is a confidence booster. Ego booster. Mental booster.
Plus, there are known substances that have been talked about before in sports like the NFL that I've heard that you can take to dim the pain without it affected your overall ability to stay functional.
I've heard about adrenaline substances as well although not sure about all the details.

All this is really just being thrown out there by everybody at this point.

But, let's stick with the legal way: Increase of muscle naturally by using certain training methods can help make you compact. Pac's bigger now so he has more padding than before. He's stronger. All this helps compared to what he was. Training methods to help you take the pain. And most of all..MENTAL ability.
One of the things with Holyfield that I've always thought gave him a bit of a boost is his belief system in himself propelled by his religious beliefs that probably made him feel like he was ordained by God. Power of the mind.

wasn't Vargas on ROIDS when he fought Oscar?
it didn't seem to helped him at all.

I'll go on record saying I don't believe a word of it.

I think what we have with Manny Pacquaio is a genuine freak of nature and a gift to the sport.

LOL, this is so funny ! People just won't admit to GREATNESS!!!! History has just been made and people are beside themselves and can't enjoy it. Pacquiao the GREAT just showed us what a great fighter is all about.

Manny Pacmang Pacquiao is an ACE !!

        1. He has the punch, the power in both hands !

        2. He has proven he can take a WW's punch, not many punch harder that Mr. Cotto ! LOL , Ol Mayweather can't thats for sure, he fought a little blown up JMM and couldn't KO him ! Manny fought JMM when he was starving and weakened, not when he was at the top. Cotto SAID 145 was good with him , he came in better shape for this fight than than past fights. Manny took Cottos punches that were killer punches, so don't blow off here saying something ******, LOL.

        3. Pacmang has proven he is GAME !!!!!!

        4. Pacmang has ability, he KNOWS how to fight like NO other!!!

And we got to see it, better than ARMSTRONG !!!!!

Hopefully we will get to see Pacmang vs Mayweather, but you never know, Chickenmangweather might skip town on this one, his old daddy wants him too. I don't blame Sr. cause Pacmangs gonna hand May Jr. HIS ASS !!!!!!!!!!!

            From Shawn Porter:

Pac as a fighter? Different would be my description. His balance and footwork are different from any fighter I have ever seen. When he appears off balance he is not. When he appears off balance he still generates a lot of power on odd angled punches. the coolest thing about Manny though is his facial expressionas in the ring. he gives nothing away with his expressions i mean you can't tell if he is tired or hurt or happy. its weird.
To add to this, Pacquiao said Cotto really hurt him, but to gain a psychological edge, he had to pretend not to be hurt. I think Manny's mental strength is being underestimated.

Also, Paulie's saying Manny is coming up in weight? Not really. What did he weigh in at for this fight? 2 pounds more than he did for Oscar. That's not a significant amount to come up in weight.

And lastly, Pacquiao trained like a demon with Porter to be able to absorb big punches.

Steroids? Gimme some proof, otherwise STFU. Jealous fools.

They do. Before or after is the choice.

That means nothing in today's world.

One: You can cycle steroids and PEDs.

Two: Undetectable PEDs. example: Shane Mosley as well as many other athletes. No testing for HGH/Insulin.

That's why many people just accept "they all could be using"

could be something new? but from what i understand boxing is behind the eight ball big time tennis and track and field run alot harder test on their participants

                    Big Time.

                    Belief in one-self.

Some people just tend to believe this is just a born thing but not always. Actually, most of it is learned and developed. Manny is very confident at this point but understands to keep a sense of humility (which makes him train hard).
