The "boxing is a business" crowd is only supportive of said agenda when it benefits one Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Because honestly speaking ; he's the only boxer who's wealth they even give a **** about. It's some morbid obsession with another man's money that I don't quite understand.

Where was their support when Hopkins wanted his (rightful) 60 percent against Jones for a possible rematch?

Hopkins had NO RIGHT to 60% and always feared a rematch with Jones Jr...and I'm specifically talking about before Jones Jr.'s moved up to fight Ruiz (and before his losses).

He used Roy's name the same way Hatton used to use Floyd's name to promote his fights. The only difference: Hatton had no choice but to end up fighting Floyd while Hopkins continued to talk a big game but bitched out.

At the end of the day, it's about the numbers you draw and how much your "name" means to the opponent and/or fight. A lot is factored in.

Manny vs. Ricky: Ricky was the draw over Manny...that's % up in favor of Ricky. Name? well, both have a "name" so it goes back to the numbers.

Margarito: It would be about the numbers and again...the name.
So who is more accomplished holds some weight but more importantly...who brings in the $$$
