    Can't remember the others.
im just saying not always. I think a great fighter such as Pacquiao constitutes as "not always" category.

That's the nfl. as for boxing great defense doesnt always beat great offense.

Pac vs Pink Floyd might be alexis arguello vs aaron pryor ish or roberto duran vs ray leonard 1 ish.

Boxing is not Football. In boxing, full defense doesn't look good to the judges, but full offense does.

JMM never had good footwork even in the lower weights, Floyd was like a mosquito in the lower weights, referring to his movements.

You need more than being a fast southpaw to beat Floyd. You have to be disciplined and be prepared for a chess match. If you come in with that "war" mentality against a boxer like Floyd, you'll want to go back to being a "Mexicutioner" or only fighting latin fighters who also come to "war" with you. Floyd will come to box, not go to war. If you want to see a war then go join the Military. This is boxing, where the mentally-strong always win.

Didn't I already post the meaning???

Great Defense: Stops the attack, stops scoring, while also attacking the attacker in his tracks.

Not just pure defense to stop the attack as in let's play passive and just cover our man. It's about destroying the attack...destroying the attacker.

Floyd changed. Lower weight classes he used it better because the plan was to score to win every round and make sure you knew who the winner was.

Look at his fight with Diego Corrales as an example of what movement can do.

He just hasn't shown me that fighter anymore which is dissapointing.

Not always true, Willie Pep was one of the best defensive fighters in the world, Sandy Saddler was a KO artist and a great offensive (and dirty) fighter and knocked him out.

offense sells tickets, defense wins games
you can be the hardest, we'll just be the smartest
it's not about who's the livest, it's about who's the wisest
the strong rule the weak, but the wise rule the strong

                    just some qoutes on that

football is bad when comparing to boxing.

Sometimes the best offenses make better defenses. The 98 Vikings and Moss used to score TDs very early, forcing the other team to abandon the run, making them 1 dimensional and sometimes playing their weakness, while making them predictable. In boxing you can negate this with a lucky KO. In football, not so much. There's just too many dynamics in football to be compared to boxing, such as it being a team sport. holding penalties, injuries, gameplans, single matchups, kicking game, game management, controlling the clock etc etc.. Boxing is more primitively natural.
