"Full" Defense isn't just blocking but attacking while defending. That's the NFL. You get to the QB or the RB before he is past the line of scrimmage.
They "destroy" what the offense wants to do.

Forget who the guy said it but it was on the NFL network a few weeks back. He quoted a Football coach I think.
I've been waiting to see if it would be on again but...whatever.

Damn...so tired when I watched it.

      Anybody else see it?

At least I hope I got that quote right.

Anyway, I was trying to think how that would relate to Boxing even though it is Football we are talking about.

In the NFL, defense is used to prevent the offense from scoring all the while counter-attacking at blitz speed to rush at the ball.
      not always....

says 2000 kurt warner & st. louis rams

      says mid 90s cowboys

      says steve young & 95 49ers

says john elway & 98,99 broncos.

      Pacquiao = 2000 St.Louis Rams

Pink Floyd = 2000 tenesse titans....

Which means we will have a close game heading into the 12th & final round.

A great defense will beat great offense because the aggressor must make the first move and every single move in boxing can be countered , the aggressor opens himself up shooting at what instantly becomes a past snapshot in time , a great counter puncher sees a sequence that he can preempt to times his shots to a place forward in time ,,, boils down to who gets there first and both of these two are super fast .

Bad Style matchup for JMM: he is to slow and is a counter-puncher.

you see, we would have to take Floyd when he was at 135 vs. JMM when he was at 135. Trying to take Floyd now and get him down to 135 to drain him is a Freddie Roach move. Yeah, I would favor JMM then. Dead Man vs. Live Man.

You wish idiot.JMM did not lose any speed moving up to 148.Marquez trainer even said he look fast in sparring. And JMM would still be too slow to catch floyd consistently at 135 so your point is mute.

Is Mayweather's defense great against southpaws though?

He's gotten clipped as clean as ever against Mitchell, Judah, and Corley. All 3 hit him cleaner than in almost any of his fights save Castillo I.

Back when Floyd was fighting at 135, JMM was fighting at 126-130. So it still doesn't apply. JMM had no business fighting at WW.

The fight should of never happened, it was just a propaganda match to make Floyd look good.

I don't think the Titans were the best in 2000 for defense: Ravens were...their offense was iffy though although they did win that won year with having the best defense without having the nearly the best offense.

                  Can't remember the others.

Broncos had a solid defense...didn't they?
                  Just not nearly the best.

                  49ers as well.

You're a deluded *****, so anything you say is moot.

You think 13 pounds doesn't slow a 36 year old man, so add ******ed to the picture as well.

His defense can be penetrated more by Southpaws it seems.
