im with you in this one... but pac allowed himself to get hit. he taunted cotto to bring it to him. still it didnt buckle him. Those jabs, that knocked down clottey, pac take it like mosquito bites.

I know!!! Pac was soooo confident he stood there for cotto to hit him, And even when cotto lands something big he doesnt seem to affect pac because by that time cotto's punches had nothing in them.

When you punch with speed like Manny does then he can KD or KO you easily.

Seriously man? Anyone that takes shots like Pac did without visibly showing it has a f****** chin.

Cotto did what he was supposed to do, use his jab and land strong blow at Pacman's head and body and also everybody was expecting that if the fight goes to a brawl Pacman will be commiting suicide not only because Pacman wouldn't take Cotto's power but because Pacman would not hurt Cotto.

Pacman did what nobody expect him to do. He wallked thru Cotto's power punches, both to the body and head, he also won the battles brawling, while hurting Cotto with his power and at the same time do what everybody did expect him to do which was dominate Cotto with his speed and movements.

We (I say we because I belong to Cotto's fan base) need to stop making excuses of a rookie trainer (Stewart, Nacho nor ****m would had changed the outcome), weight issue (Cotto was in great shape) and face the fact that Cotto face a boxer that was and is in another level. I thought that Cotto had a really good chance but like I have said before, sometimes we have to accept the fact that sometimes GREATNESS GETS EVEN GREATER and that's what Pacman did.

True that I would like to see Cotto with a more experienced and recognized trainer (specially a defensive one) but Pacman would had won anyway IMO.

This man really took those hard shots but pac was prepared by using those Kali sticks.

              No pain.
the thing is by pretending, he's able to withstand the pain and put the pain behind his mind - mental toughness - that's pretty amazing! a true warrior

I agree. Not making excuses, Cotto would've still probably lost, but I think we would've had more rounds like the first 4. The last part where Cotto hurt Pacquiao was in the final minute of round 5. Backed Pacquiao into the ropes, hit him with an uppercut then caught him with a left hook that staggered Pacquiao. Pacquiao still won that round, and it was all downhill for Cotto after that.

Cotto was in shape for that fight, but his physique was so different from past fights (prior to Margarito). He's been more toned in his fights with Clottey and Pacquiao, but in the ones with Mosley and Margarito, he looked bulkier and heavier.

I considered Pacquiao stopping Cotto, but on cuts. I also didn't think Cotto would be on his bike with so many rounds left to go. If anything, I thought Cotto would be doing that (if he did) in the last two rounds or something, you could tell by round 9 that Cotto was undoubtedly finished. Firing back occasionally, but nothing fight changing. By the start of round 12, you could tell that Pacquiao wasn't going to let Cotto walk away with the decision loss.

The reason I thought Cotto would win this fight was that he was going to hit Pac like nobody had. And I was right he hit Manny with all kinds of shots, the thing is Manny took them in stride. I was shocked at his ability to take a punch, this puts him in a whole other level. Manny's physical gifts will be too much for anyone to overcome.

with pacman nothing he does surprises me. he has a nation of devoted countryman as well as millions of other fans willing his every move. he doesn't want to let down those who follow him and that determination doesn't allow for him to feel pain. he might feel it but he doesn't show it. a true man of steel.
