    Cotto's Trainer Shocked By Pacquiao's Power/Chin

Joe Santiago, the young trainer of Miguel Cotto, was shocked with the power of WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao. Santiago watched Pacquiao batter his fighter for twelve rounds last Saturday in Las Vegas. He knew coming in that Pacquiao was very fast but he had no idea that the Filipino fighter was so strong. He admits that he underestimated Pacquiao's ability to take a strong punch at 147. [details]

I like Cottos personality over Hattons, when ever Hatton lost he would be a big baby and talk about retirement. When ever Cotto lost, he said he'll come back better.

At this time I want to say cong**** to Manny for the great fight and for making history. At this point I belive cotto should take this to time to gather himself and see where he is at or wants to be. Not to take anything from Manny cause he is one of my favorite boxer. But the Miguel Cotto I saw that fight is only a former image of himself. I guess its true that the Margarito fight really took its troll on him. Cotto should take his time to think dose he really want this or not. And if he dose he should get back with his Uncle even though they had problems his uncle had his ass straight and winning them fights like the champ he is.

I guess a lot fo us unerestimated Pacquiao. Like I said, I always pick him but
change my mind because I see his flaws and he is can be exposed but no one
he has fought in the last four fights could do it. JMM was the only one that
showed how to box Manny but couldn't hold it together do to his pride.
Manny is definitely a freak of nature but that is just focus and determination
that most fighters don't have on Manny's level. The only fighter that trains
hard or even harder and is mentally strong under pressure is Floyd.
          That fight has to happen.

Agreed. I think if he stayed with Evangelista Cotto then his game plan for the fight would have been a lot different perhaps better than what we witnessed Saturday night.

How could he not be? Cotto ****ing cracked Pac the first few rounds and Pac walked through all of it. I never expected him to be able to walk through those big shots.

Pacquiao's chin is still suspect---he just has a good poker face. Remember, Pacquiao said he was hurt he just didn't show it. But overall he has a great chin.

Pac "When I was on the rope getting hit by Cotto's solid body punches, I pretended it didnt hurt" then goes "But it hurt"

This man really took those hard shots but pac was prepared by using those Kali sticks.

                    No pain.
