all of a sudden cotto/hatton doesn't seem as laughable as we all thought.
Cotto's Rebuilding Needs a New Trainer, The Right Fights

I couldn't agree more; Cotto needs to change trainers. Buddy McGirt is also another good trainer. I also think that given his past stamina issues, running/training in altitude makes sense. I know from experience (marathon running) that running in higher altitudes improves one's stamina. Many athletes do it. In thinner air, in order to compensate and carry more oxygen, the body begins to produce and maintain more red blood cells. That produces benefits when an athlete, training in the mountains then comes down to compete closer to sea level. More blood = more oxygen cpacity = more stamina. Many old time boxers held training camps in the mountains.Comment

Does to me, Hatton got KO'd in the second round while Oscar, Cotto, Diaz all went the distance to an extent. Only way Hatton beats someone like Cotto is if Cotto had a lasting affect from this battle. Only time will tell and his next fight will show if he is the same fighter still.Comment

Why change his trainer? COTTO was already at his best when he fought PACMAN. The skill he showed was enough to knock Margarito, Mosley and even Mayweather! He simply lost to PACMAN because PACMAN is better. period.Comment
