Mayweather and Pacquiao have fought 3 of the same opponents in both of their last 5 fights.

    Mayweather last 5 fights:
    Won 154 LB Championship
    Won 147 LB Championship
    Won the Lineal 147 Championship
Defended his 147 LB Championship against the #5 P4P fighter in the world.
Completely Shut out the #2 fighter in the WORLD!!!

    All while remaining undefeated!!!!

      Undefeated is overrated.

That's coming from a Calzaghe fan.

Like RA the Rugged Man said, I could fight ten schoolgirls and be undefeated.

And please... lets not gloat about beating up a lightweight. What's next, Calderon?

To now becoming a offensive force...!!

He used to be a 1 handed fighter.
        Not no more.

He has improved better than anybody I have ever seen.
        But key word is improved.

Mayweather has dominated for 10 years straight.
Mayweather has done everything he has done while remaining undefeated.

Mayweather and Pacquiao have fought 3 of the same opponents in both of their last 5 fights.

So the opponent selection is a wash.

My argument is Pacquiao can not be fighter of the DECADE because he hasnt
dominate for an entire DECADE. that simple.
But he has improved the most in this decade.
Like I said earlier, you don't fully get what "Fighter of the Decade" means. It's precisely because your argument is simply WRONG that I say you don't get it.

Pacquiao is the front runner among the candidates for Fighter of the Decade and he is also the Most Improved Fighter of the Decade. At least you got the latter part right... hehe.

Fighter of the decade is Pacquiao, no question about it.
Because the award is the fighter of the decade.
Not fighter of the last 3 years.
          Decade=10 years.
And for 10 years Mayweather has Dominated.
And for 10 years Pacquiao Hasnt!
He has dominated for the last 4 years no question..!!
          But not for 10 years.

Pacquiao is the most improved fighter of the decade by far.
He has come BACK from being knock out twice, Outboxed and given a draw, Outboxed and beating beat, and Outboxed and winning by 1 point.
To now becoming a offensive force...!!

He used to be a 1 handed fighter.

His level of compitetion is not out of this world.
Mayweather and Pacquiao have fought 3 of the same opponents in both of their last 5 fights.

And Mayweather from the start of his career to now has faced higher quality of opponents compared to pacquiao..!

          these are facts!

Pacquiao was getting Knock out, while Mayweather was winning fighter of the year awards.

Hmmm. who cares if it's 3 years or 10? If I can achieve the same or more in 10 minutes than someone who took over 10 years, I'm better. Simple. It's about achievements, not time.

Undefeated is overrated if you are not accomplishing anything.

But not if you have ran through 5 divisions, win 6 world titles, 3 lineal titles, and been ranked at the top of the sport for 10 Consecutive years with 3 1/2 of the years being ranked #1 .

Thats why being undefeated matters in this case.

Because he is undefeated while doing accomplishing great things, and looking great doing it.

IMO, Fighter of the decade should not be judged solely on length of reign on top. You have to factor out accomplishment plus the quality of opposition. And pac is the man right now unless pbf ups his opposition. I even feel that even if he beats pac, pac might still get the nod for fighter of the decade.

Pac completely shut out and destroyed DLH after jumping up 2 Divisions.

He demolished Hatton at the Brit's best weight were he was the Lineal Champ. Hatton didn't belong at 147 with Floyd.

Pac beat Marquez also at the guy's best weight. He didn't ask the guy to go up and skip a division and agree on a catch weight all the while having no real intention of making that catch since the start, like what Floyd did to poor li'l fat JMM.
