If Pacquiao is the best fighter on this ENTIRE decade then how is it that for half of the decade he wasnt even ranked in the top 10?

While Mayweather has been at the TOP for the ENTIRE Decade???

Why didnt all the boxing experts rank Pacquiao higher than Mayweather
    in
    1998
    1999
    2000
    2001
    2002
    2003
    2004
    2005
    2006
    2007
    2008
If Pacquiao is the Fighter of the decade?

PACQUIAO IS THE MOST IMPROVED FIGHTER OF THE DECADE.
NOT THE FIGHTER OF THE DECADE!
BECAUSE HE DID NOT DOMINATE THE WHOLE DECADE!!
BUT HE HAS IMPROVED THE MOST THIS DECADE!!
    (Hands Down)

PACQUIAO IS THE MOST IMPROVED FIGHTER OF THE DECADE.

Sometimes you have to give credit where credit is due, and right now credit is due. Manny Pacquaio is the pound 4 pound best fighter in the sport today.
And The most improved Fight of the Decade!!

now thats a very good point

What he did become is the most improved fighter of the Decade.
Why are you counting 98, 99? Is that when your decade starts?

Do you know how hard it is to get on American P4P lists while fighting overseas?

Since 03, he's been fighting first ballot Hall of Famers moving up and meeting them at their weight class. Pacquiao has done more in his 6 years on P4P lists than Mayweather in his 10.

The best win of Mayweather's career was before the decade even started. Enough said.

Today is awesome, I seriously have not read as much ******ed threads like this in a long time...

I can't imagine what it's going to be like the day after Manny Pacquiao systematically dismantles Mayweathers 0.

Pac could beat Jesus Christ tommorrow and *****s and nonbelievers will still find excuses (Jesus was shot, not the same since the crucifixion, should have retired after the ressurection).

So you think remaining on the top p4p list for 10 consecutive years is easy. What Pacquiao did and what Floyd did are very similar things in reality. They are = in accomplishments and nothing someone so full of hate as yourself will tell me any different. I think by my own head and most people i know also think by their own heads. You are a prick.

                  The WBC super featherweight title

That's 6 titles in 5 different weight classes

Pretty even, so now you look at the names on their resume

                  Pacquiao since 2000:
                  Marco Antonio Barrera (x2)
                  Erik Morales (x2)
Juan Manuel Marquez (and 1 draw)
                  David Diaz
                  Oscar De La Hoya
                  Ricky Hatton
                  Miguel Cotto

                  Mayweather since 2000:
                  Diego Corrales
                  Castillo (x2)
                  Arturo Gatti
                  Zab Judah
                  Baldomir
                  Oscar De La Hoya
                  Ricky Hatton
                  Juan Manuel Marquez

Both fighters are pretty close but Manny has faced better opposition and beaten them more impressively.

Great Horus, tell my why I'm wrong.

That's because Pacquiao only overtook Mayweather's legacy only fairly recently although IMO, I think Pac's accomplishments were pretty much being overlooked for a quite a while and should have been acknowledged earlier.

Prior to Cotto, Pac fought and won in 4 divisions in a span of a little over the year to really put Floyd's resume to shame. The Cotto demolition job with the 7 division feat bonus this weekend just puts some more distance between Pac and Mayweather's legacies. That and when you lump in the superfights he has won since Barrera, then his record is really the best out there that have been made over the past 10 years.

It's simple really... he may have been off the radar in the early part of the decade but when considering fighters within the decade it's Pac who turned out the most accomplished and with the most impressive victim/opponent credentials by the end of this decade.
