Mayweather-Pacquiao Has To Be Made, Says Schaefer

The split has nothing to do with what a fighter has accomplished. If only people knew how dumb that sounds.60/40 since Manny just beat ****ing Cotto. And boxingscene has little kids now calling Cotto crap but Cotto is a great fighter who just to even better fighter... Manny is just a freak of nature. But atleast Cotto put up a fight when he lost, he didn't go out like Ricky Hatton or Oscar.Comment

Schaefer and HBO is not trying to hear this fight not happening
and that's good. The only one I see fronting is Arum because of
his stubborness BUT it is true if Cotto/Pac didn't do more than
Floyd/JMM then Floyd has the edge but can't see why they can't
do a 50/50 deal.Comment

Yes it does, **** ppv buys. It should be about what you do in the ring, not your mouth that helps sell fights. Manny doesn't need Floyds big ass mouth to sell a fight, since he lets his fists do the talking.Comment

I hope so. Even if it takes Mosley telling Schaeffer to get fucked. I've been one of the biggest detractors of Shane Mosley's whiny attitude and bitching, but he still has put in more work than Floyd at 147. Pacquiao-Mosley is just as big a fight to me. And Mayweather has done jack **** to deserve a shot at either guy. And he wants Pacquiao because he knows that's the bigger money fight.Comment

They will make the fight. Just way too much money not to. Floyd will whoop on Manny once or twice and then unify with the winner of Berto Mosley. 3 belts on the line in that fight. Or does Berto or Mosley have to drop?Comment

floyd won't make this fight... he is shook... that ***** will rematch hatton in the UK then retireGolden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer has a hard task ahead; negotiating on behalf of Floyd Mayweather Jr. for a possible showdown with Manny Pacquiao in 2010. He says the fight is something that has to happen. He is confident that a deal can be reached with Pacquiao's promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank. Both fighters are known for their tough tactics at the table. This fight is no different because both guys want more than 50% of the money. Mayweather did over 1 million pay-per-view buys for September's bout with Juan Manuel Marquez. Pacquiao's numbers for Saturday's bout with Miguel Cotto will not be released for a few more days. The numbers will play a big role in the talks. [details]Comment

It goes to show you how Schaefer and Golden Boy are shoving Shane Mosley out of the picture who despite his inactivity has paid more dues at 147 than Floyd and brings a title to the table.Schaefer and HBO is not trying to hear this fight not happening
