I dont know 2004 was the year of the executionor, he is an excellent tactical boxer and its amazing what he has accomplished since he started boxing in prison and late in life. Maybe he is P4P #1 just because of his tacitcal skillfullness and 20 straight title defences.

Hopkins is an amazing boxer the way he just takes apart opponets. Are there guys faster than him? yes. Are there guys with bigger punches? yes. But Bernard is just kinda like the total package and it is cool how he stayed in one division and made the 20 defences like in the old days, and in a premier division, one of the original divisons, the middleweight divison. He is one of the best defensive fighters in middleweight divison history and he has all the other tools at an above par level. He also is loyal to the sport, I like how he challenged that one guy, that if he was able to go the distance Hopikins would give him 50,000$ of his own money, the guy has class for doing ****e like that. May he continue to rule the middleweight divison.

The P4P thing has been promotional media ploy from its inception you should not worry so much about it. Hopkins deserves the P4P title as much as anybody though.

That has never been a necessary qualification in order to be considered the best. How would Tszyu be considered the best:
When he has never faced a top 10 P4P fighter at any point. Nor has Hopkins (other than Tito). Nor has Wright.

DLH and Tito are sure fire hall of famers. they moved into dangerous water at 160, but they still did it. Tszyu has probably made it there by staying in that same weight class and not losing since becoming champion in so long. Floyd's last few fights may be keeping him from that number one spot. Maintaining the high level of competition I suppose. Wright beat Mosely who was at the time in the top 10 p4p at the time they fought, I think. So I would imagine that's why he's in there.

Yeah, I think you are right about that. Nonetheless, the quality of opposition Floyd has blown away has earned him that title in many people's opinions. I do see your logic however. yes. You have to beat the best, in order to be considered the best. I am pretty sure PBF will do that in the future, after he humiliates Gatti, and then outclasses KT.

As much as I dislike Floyd, I'm expecting him to annihilate Gatti, but I'm certain that he and KT are in the same class, and if they fight, neither of them will do any outclassing. It will be a very close match.
