Pac shound't be called WBO 147 champion.....

As it wasn't a welterweight fight, it was a catchweight fight. If it was a Welterweight fight, Cotto could of come in at 147. So in my eyes Pac isn't really a 147 champion, due it not being a 147 fight. FACT........

I agree, welterweight limit is at 147 therefore this was not a real welterweight fight. Pacquiao is still a great fighter though.

Cotto could have weighed in at 150 and it wouldn't have mattered, if anything it would have made Cotto slower and easier to hit.

yes cuz 2lbs really would of mattered.

anywhere from a 141-147lbs is a welterweight limit. If anything 145lbs just made cotto more lean.

i second that which makes his claims as 7 weight titlist a little premature to say the least.

however all this aside their can be no complaints from cotto that he was weight drained or that he was fatigued from the weight, imo he just lost to a great fighter.

so cotto aint a real ww champion to begin with. he weigh 146 against clottey. im just following your analogy.

141-147 fyi is within the welterweight limit. it was a catchweight at 145 -- but still within welterweight right?

I rate manny very highly , but all this catchweight crap, is one of the reason's why i dont rate him as high as sugar ray robinson, duran, armstrong and langford. Also hatton, oscar and cotto have all looked drained and weak when they thought pacman, i want to see many against a fresh hungry lion like paul williams, floyd mayweather, valero or devon alexander

how was it not a Welterweight fight???

last time I checked 145 was INSIDE the Welterweight limit.

                think before you post.

He choose to weigh in at 146 vs Clottey, He HAD to weigh in under 145 vs Pacquiao, thats the difference.

This was a great win for Pacquiao and theres no excuses BUT this was not a real welterweight fight, if it was a real welterweight fight then the limit would have been 147 not 145.

Cotto only had to go down 2 lbs with Pac going up 5 lbs???? 145 was fair and square. Cotto started at 140 lbs, Pac started at 106 lbs. Cotto looked healthy and fast. He just got worned down as the fight went on.
