btw i believe at the weigh in roy jones weighed in at around 193 and gained some weight before the fight to be around 200.

Roy never made it to 200. He weight in at 199 or 198 just before the fight, I believe. The 193 at the weigh-in was wrong. The guy made a mistake. Roy Was about 197 or something like that.

I think Roy could have beat Byrd, Holy and maybe even Tyson as well. Ruiz really didn't give Roy much of a challenge at all. Roy didn't knock the guy out, but he definitely hurt him. I still remember the straight right Roy caught him with around the sixth round, I think. Definitely broke Ruiz's nose and dazed him pretty well. You could see Ruiz's blood on Roys shoulder when he went back to his corner. People really underestimate Roy's punching power. People wonder why Ruiz didn't press him more, but I think it's because he knew Roy had enough power to knock him out, and the last thing he wanted was to be knocked out by a natural middle-weight.

I don't think Roy would have stood a chance against Lewis or Klitschko(spelling?) though. Those guys were just too big. They'd just need to clinch with him in the early rounds and press their weight on him and he'd be done. Plus, those guys were so big, they'd have a HUGE reach advantage on him.

Totally concur, but he still should have fought them, a loss to a Klit or Lewis is worth more than a loss to Tarver and Johnson!

Say if Lewis landed a one-two to knock out Roy like the one he landed on Rahmen, there's a pretty serious chance that Roy could die. I'm sure Roy knew that and never would have agreed to the fight. Even fighting a guy with a 25+ lb weight advantage like Ruiz seriously increases the chances of dieing in the ring, or ending up a vegetable.

True...but i think lewis is intelligent enough to know that this fight would have been a money fight and he wouldnt want that on his conscience, Lewis would only have landed as hard as need be!

Yeah I agree he could have beaten Holyfield and Byrd but would have got knocked out against Lewis or Vitali.

Lewis was looking to prove something against Rahman, and I'm sure he put all he had in to that right. Against Jones he probably would have done what he did with most opponents, keeping them off with the jab. Roy wouldn't have been able to toy with Lewis, or take his big shots. Lewis moved to well for Jones to get in and out on him like he did to Ruiz. Vitali was too big, too strong, he'd have killed Jones.

Jones could have taken Holyfield, he was so old and washed up (still is). He could have beaten Byrd, but had no interest in fighting him, considering they are good friends. He would not have been able to withstand Tyson's power. If a shot from Ruiz rocked him, a shot from Tyson would kill him. He would have kicked the living **** out of Toney again, too.

                  hmm

Looking at Lewis when he was fighting at the time Roy was at heavyweight, Lewis was beatable in my opinion by a guy like Roy. I don't think Lewis would have the speed to catch Roy and he would get frustrated.

Personally though, as far as the weight loss goes, I think Roy would have been just fine if he had not ****ed himself by moving back down to a weight he no longer could make without unneccessary harm. I think he could have hung with the heavyweights for a year or so.

                    .
And you tell me that April Fools is over?.............
Stop Kidding man. Lewis might be just as fast, as well as twice his size. I realize RJJ is your guy, and I will say he was a damn decent heavyweight despite his only fight there. I will say though, this has gone too far. Lewis might kill him with 1 punch. Literally.

RJJ could not run away. Lewis was too big, had too long a reach, and was arguably as "fast" because of his blindspot punching and backtracking out of trouble. A big, athletic, Pugilist who would be RJJ's actual nightmare of an opponent.

Someone just as athletic, and bigger than he was.

Seriously...you think Reuben Williams is better than Joe Calzaghe and now you are telling me that Lewis is as fast as Roy.

                      Wrong.

If that's your opinion...whoa...fine I guess, but don't call me crazy for not agreeing with that.
