All of those have a significant height and reach advantage over Manny, alon with weight. They picked Cotto because even though Cotto might outweight Pac by 8-10 pounds fight night, Pac can reach Cotto. Not that Cotto is lesser of a fighter, it just that his size dimensions gives Pac a opportunity to win!!!

for me... the loser should just retire.... whoever it is... pac or cotto.
they are already rich, no need to continue anymore... no need to risk your health .
imo if pac lose, the first one that will suggest his retirement is coach roach, roach cares for pac and thats why he said pac will only 1-2 fights left (1st is hatton, so the 2nd is cotto) to ensure pacman health. 2nd one that would suggest retirement would be his mother, that already express her opinion for pac to stop boxing even before the hatton fight.Comment

there is no mistake of saying that if you concern about certain people....but in cotto's case,i think he still too young for retirement and besides cotto has only one loss compare to the other mexican fighters who still fighting even if they took some bad beatings already......thanks for the concern but you must said that to ur fellow mexican instead of cotto...Comment

This meth addict, bum, was a world champion when there weren't so many champions and he actually killed a man in the ring. Johnny Owens, the "Methyr Match", fell like he'd been shot. Pintor gots room to talk. He knows the danger.Comment

C'mmon
All I have to say is that Lupe Pintor should not be talking about when a boxer should retire, because he never retire on time. A career of 21 years, a boxer who lost 14 bouts (7 of those by TKO or KO) in his career. He didn't know when to retire, he went 3-7 in his last ten matches losing his last by KO, so who is he to talk about when any boxer should retire. Oh, and remember some of those fight were 15 rounds. He should have retire when he got KO by Manuel Vasquez in 6 in 1979 and he didn't or he should have retire in his TKO lost to Wilfredo Gomez in 1982 but he didn't. He retire in 1995.Comment

Some see Cotto as still being a young fighter, but Cotto has been through many big battles at this stage in his career. Zap Judah, Shane Mosley, Antonio Margarito, Joshua Clottey and has taken hard punches by a few others. Maragrito took a beating against him and then got knocked out in his last fight. Many don't understand what one fight can do.
Cotto was also in a car accident in which he felt asleep and almost jeopardize his boxing career.Last edited by RinGhost_; 11-09-2009, 01:24 PM.Comment
