Seriously, there are too many people complaining about Boxer/Punchers doing a lil too much BOXING in the ring. Yet, when MMA fans come in here talking **** about the sport, you guys want to talk about "the sweet science" and how much more technical our sport is? ****-out-of-here.

We NEED fighters like Dawson, Mayweather, Martinez etc. Without fighters like them, our sport would be MMA without ground work. I AGREE that some fights shouldnt be advertised as dramatic barn burners and that DOES hurt the sport. But if you can actually sit there and tell me you would stand in one spot and trade punches with a seriously dangerous opponent for 12 rounds, then go nuts talkin **** about what makes our sport different.

Morales vs Barrera was better than Chuck vs Wanderlei. MMA brawls are funny but have much less drama and level of skills than boxing wars.

We need Mayweathers and Toneys but we also need Hattons and Gattis.

Yeah, people don't appreciate sweet science of boxing. People don't like defense, they like offense. Just like in basketball with teams like the 04' P istons and Spurs. Defensive teams are considere d boring. However, offense sells ticketsand defense win games and fights.

Dawson and Mayweather aren't boxer punchers.

          They're runners.

JMM is a boxer puncher, I have no problems with him.

I wouldn't mind having every fight be as exciting as Gatti ward, even then it's still technically superior. What makes MMA gay is the ground work so even then it would still be better and superior. **** Chad Dawson and **** Mayweather. You wont ever see me go out of my way to watch both.

MMA is more like slaughter, thinner gloves which is really dangerous as it is more to protect only glove wearers hands and not his opponent, they can throw elbows which is insane, thats the hardests part of the body along with the head. the so called pound and ground game is the one that causes most injuries as many times the guy on the back will take a lot of shots to the face and head while many times defenceless

Dawson and Mayweather are far from being boxer punchers. You are also confusing being boring with being technical. When it's obvious you can do more but are just content to hang back and outpoint an opponent then you are going to get criticized.
