If every fight was a Gatti-Ward, how would that make Boxing different from MMA?

      They're runners.

JMM is a boxer puncher, I have no problems with him.
I dont have a problem with how anyone chooses to beat a guy..long as he gets in the ring w/him....

We NEED fighters like Dawson, Mayweather, Martinez etc. Without fighters like them, our sport would be MMA without ground work. I AGREE that some fights shouldnt be advertised as dramatic barn burners and that DOES hurt the sport. But if you can actually sit there and tell me you would stand in one spot and trade punches with a seriously dangerous opponent for 12 rounds, then go nuts talkin **** about what makes our sport different.
Are you saying every fight in MMA is like Gatti/Ward or the same? Man, you is...soooooooooo mis informed. MMA rocks, dawg.

I follow MMA enough to know good fights from bad fights. I was generalizing MMA mostly because I'm a boxing fan first, but it is my opinion that MMA fights lack control and are fought at lower skill levels. There are many reasons for that and it's not just because of the quality of fighters. But when fighters are pressured by their boss, White, to be exciting or get fired or enticed by "excitement bonuses", caution, intelligence and skill are diluted.

Fighters are matched somtimes because they make for an exciting fight. Hey why not pay a guy xtra for a knock out in a combat sport....

and WHO got fired for not being excited , also...

went to a MUAY THAI smoker on FRI where two camps matched up guys...and it was hella more entertaining then boxing...im talking kicks to the head, knees to the gut and dudes gettign dropped from punches, you may believe in your mind that a MM artist is less skilled, then thats just your biased or ignorant opinion..( no offense) but in reality..they are not..
