Cotto's Habits I Don't See Pac Capitalizing On...

As we all know Cotto has 3 major issues:

    1. He leaves himself open for uppercuts.
    2. He has problems with fighters that can take his punches.
    3. Can get hit with the overhand right.

The first on the list well we can rule out since Pac isn't known for throwing many uppercuts, and let alone devastating uppercuts that will knock Cotto TFO. That leaves #2, can Pac take Cotto's punches!? This is something that has been argued over and over again on NSB, and I respect everyone's opinions BUT I will say he has never been in the ring with a heavy hitter like Cotto that is for sure. Finally, that leaves #3...I think this could be a good weapon for Pac, but I just don't see it getting threw Cotto's defenses that much to be effective.

All in all, could Pac win this fight!? I certainly agree, but he would have to take the Calderon approach, and be VERY careful while doing it. Again, Roach knows Cotto's habits but the thing is...it is impossible for Roach to teach a fighter after all these years how to throw a devastating uppercut, how to take a punch (which cannot be taught), and how to penetrate a good defense against a fighter like Cotto. Can it happen though!? Anything can happen in boxing!

I wonder what Roach has seen in Cotto that we haven't? I mean, the uppercut is an obvious one. I think there's something we haven't noticed.

Pacquiao does have a decent uppercut, he just doesn't use it often. He KO'd 3K Battery with a very nice one many years ago, so I know he has it in him to pull out a nice uppercut occasionally, and also he's been working on it in training.

Pac's not known for throwing uppercuts, but he damn sure worked on uppercuts for this fight. And Pac's right is pretty strong right now. I dunno if he can take Cotto's punches either, especially if he decides to trade.

          A couple things..

Pac has been working on his uppercut in the mitt work I've seen from him lately. You might see that as part of his strategy.]

An overhand right would be problematic, seeing how manny is a southpaw. he would have to switch orthodox, or throw a flying right with his jab hand.. But Pac will try to use the straight left on Cotto, all night.

I'm sure that Roach has studied Cotto's tapes feverishly, and seen more angles than we have.

As for me, I tend to wonder if Cotto can handle manny's movement and angles.. He'll never have faced an opponent so mobile before, I think

Its his job.. his 9-5. Of course hes going to notice more than us, because he puts more time in
