I'm just saying. It's a complete hypothecial. Why are we talking hypotheticals on a non hypothecial question?

I wanted to know who everyone thought was the best LHW, you say Hopkins, which is fine. But to just say Hopkins and Calzaghe were ranked ahead of Dawson, because they beat him. What's the point of fighting if that's the case?

Dawson would be one of, if not the biggest man Hopkins has fought and he's very strong, so I don't know if Hopkins would be able to bully him as you say. Also, Chad's work rate is much better when he's allowed to lead, instead of contantly countering like he had to against Johnson. Chad would definitely be the one throwing first against Hopkins and IMO would be able to out point Bernard.

Obviously they don't but I'd like to think they would. Or wouldn't have much else in the way of options. Who else is HBO going to offer?

Not once have I implied Hopkins is a cash cow but he's a bigger draw than Dawson and the fight was for the Ring title. Who had Dawson beat at that point? A struggling with weight Adamek....Harding ()? He went on to have a close fight with Johnson in a fight most people thought he lost while Calzaghe beat the recognised best fighter at 175.....I think the right choice was made.

Calzaghe and Hopkins arent ranked ahead of Dawson because they "hypothetically" beat him.

That's what I'm hearing. I think Dawson will fight Pascal and then the winner of Jones-Hopkins if he can get by Pascal.

Yeah, I think you're right. At that point, it made no sense for him to fight Dawson. But he certainly had the opportunity to this year and didn't even entertain the conversation. Instead he's fighting Roy Jones. Sheesh.

that's a lie, he's forced to punch more when countering, if not he'l stare you down for about half an hour, throw a jab and stare you down again, when you throw one punch, he moves, if you throw a combo he covers up
