Yep, I think that sounds closer to how he fights. But I've seen him pretty aggressive as well. I think the bottom line is that workrate won't decide this fight. It will be fought at the pace of a chess match.

adamek was strugling to make weight? any proof?
and many more people thought calzaghe lost to hopkins, so there you go

Fighting Chad Dawson or Adamek isn't about the money... neither of those fights are about the money, that's about the legacy. Getting another LHW title against a young fresh unbeaten champion, or the CW champion.

I don't really buy not fighting Dawson because he isn't a draw, that's not the reason the fight shouldn't happen. Anyways Bernard will get his payday against a shot Roy Jones, then he can maybe fight for Dawsons title.

I disagree. Watch Dawson-Tarver 1. Dawson was allowed to lead all night and he was throwing amazing combinations all night.

I would have preferred to see him fight Dawson too...I didn't mind him taking the Jones fight because he made 10m and big paydays eluded him throughout his career but he should have fought Dawson before retiring.

                Good post reed

It shouldn't all be about the money.

Yep. Neither Calzaghe nor Hopkins were interested. None of them should be rewarded an imaginary win against him. There's no evidence to suggest it would be a foregone conclusion. In fact, I'd bet that a prime Dawson would've been as difficult as any of their toughest bouts.

Proof? You ever heard of google?

And no, a lot more people had Calzaghe beating Hopkins.

I'm talking about at the stage he fought Hopkins. He should have fought Dawson before he retired but it wasn't to be...if he did fight Dawson and retire people would be saying he ducked the Hopkins rematch. He said after Kessler he was only fighting 2 more fights and then retiring...he beat the best at 175 and then retired on a big payday...I would rather him fight Dawson but that's just the way it goes...
