Anyone else suprised by the amount of coverage that Haye vs Valuev has got?

I think there are a lot of selling points to this fight. It's almost like a Rocky movie, a seemingly impossible mismatch, but... what if?
This is Hayes third time fighting at heavyweight, you wouldn't know that though since Haye fought some guy name bonin for his first heavyweight fight. I never heard of bonin before Haye fought him, hell I'm sure I'm spelling his name wrong and it probably isn't bonin because I still don't know the guy!

deng why the hayes hate? i think a haye ko over valuev is good for boxing. it only hypes up a big fight with one of the klitschkos not only do i think it breaks records for sales in europe but it probably becomes one of the most watched fights by U.S and other countries thats in europe.

Well SKYSPORT does know how to hype up a fight, They know how to hype up any sporting event and i think they and the media over here have done a great job in pushing the fight through to the mainstream.

The British people love a freak show and this fight is certainly a freak show. It has all the right factors; a charismatic British contender, a monstrous opponent, a huge size difference between them, a heavyweight championship and the support of Sky Sports. People I know who usually don't give a **** about boxing are interested in this fight. It's working.

I think with Sky Box office picking the fight up, Haye has to drum up big interest due to the fact hes getting paid on how well the PPV sells.

Haye has the chance to be the next Heavyweight champion of the world, and he's British. That's why!

Yeah, same here. Got a call from my cousin yesterday about meeting up to watch the fight. Seems like quite a lot of non-boxing fans are taking an interest.

I just hope that it's a good fight.
