Anyone else suprised by the amount of coverage that Haye vs Valuev has got?

    Yep, the wider public in england have always like to have a heavyweight to get behind,also the novelty factor that Valuev brings. This fight appeals to the British sense of humour.

    I really havent a clue how this one will pan out,but if haye does manage to somehow ko Valuev,then that would be a pretty powerful statement to make. Haye just has to make sure he doesnt get distracted by the matted chest hair being rubbed in his face,or get kayoed by Valuev's smelly armpits!

      I was out last night and everyone had something to say about the Haye fight. There's about 10 people who don't even really follow boxing coming out to see it with us tonight.

      Interesting how most "casual fans" are picking Valuev to win by murder, they've really promoted this match-up well.

          I think you're right. People have been talking about it at work and in the pub over the last few days and loads of people I know who dont follow the sport at all are going to watch it,****,even the missus wants to watch it!

                  It's gettin alot of media attentio over here due to us not havin a world heavyweight champion since lewis. plus Sky Box Office are behind it and they will be throwing mad money to advertise it so fans subscribe to them.
