There should be no reason why anyone needs to put down boxing because a person believes wrestlers are better. There is a reason why MMA fighters practice boxing. Some people can claim that they practice it because they respect they're ground game--okay, then let's factor in all the guys who don't like to go on the ground and rely heavily on their striking like Crocop, Takanori Gomi, Marvin Manhoef. They've been submitted but they also have KOd a lot of guys. To me, it's crap for anyone to put down boxing because they think one style is better than another. By the way, Takanori Gomi was a multi-champion combat wrestler.Comment

My freshman year at College I witnessed quite a bizarre event, at a Halloween party I watched a D1 Collegiate wrestler get roughed up by a guy who was no where near his size with no martial arts background. You might wonder how, well when the wrestler tackled him the guy rammed his fingers into the wrestlers eyes and then proceeded to kick him until it got split up. Morale of the story is no sport is superior or "dominates". It depends on the person, although in general the ability to punch much harder than the guy your quarreling with while being able to avoid his punches is usually a rather good skill to have.Comment
