the point of the Vovchanchyn nutter video was to show how a guy with no TD defense could own a wrestler.

and btw, UFC doesn't allow kness to the head of a downed opponent. allow guys to knee wrestlers in the face when they shoot and watch how less effective they are, along with how much of a ***** they are once they get hit once or twice.

and while i agree it would take time to actually learn wrestling or bjj it would not take long to learn how to sprawl and stuff td's.

In a real fight while you're struggling to get a single leg a none **** would be elbowing you in the spine.

I know this is just a troll thread. But I will say this, it is MUCH easier to take someone down than it is to knock someone out.

It's late and I'm not going to stick around to argue. But a legitimate collegiate level wrestler could get a high level professional boxer down to the ground 9/10 times.

The wrestler would get spanked in a boxing match, no doubt. But being a great boxer with great athleticism will not prevent you from being taken down.

Go to an MMA club and ask to spar. Tell them to try and take you down while you attempt to pepper them with shots. Heck, have an untrained friend tackle you. Knocking someone out when they dive at your legs is not easy at all, even if you're a professional boxer.

well the Thread starter has a point.Real Life fighting involves a lot more than just boxing, and to give you an answer, I think it would all depend on the 2 fighters's:

              weight
              strength
              speed
              reach,
              height
              timing
              Power
ability to take a punch to the head and body ,
All these factors would apply to both MMA fighter and Boxer.
These are the factors that come into it, plus others, and i just rememberedMOST IMPORTANTLY : STAMINA ALSO! How long can you fight on the street before you get PUFFED OUT!
So I think anybody can win.

Also remember that thread starter is saying the HE could beat any heavyweight boxer. We're not talking a trained pro, but some kid that goes to an all boys ******* arts school. MAJOR difference.

                    And then you wake up.

Look, unlike a lot of people on here, i train myself, and i'm actually a huge mma fan. But what you are saying is bull****, and you'd get ****ed up by most boxers if the only thing you bring to the table is college wrestling.

No doubt wrestling is a great base for a mixed martial arts fighter but you can't be succesful with only that. You probably can't even throw a proper punch.
