The real JMM is a natural 26'-30' pounder. At that weight, you can't touch him.
I don't even think he's a legit LW, he won those fights on sheer guts and determination. He has good pop in his right hand though.

At LW the fight would have been coser with Floyd winning a solid UD still, At 130 the fight would have been competative with Mayweather winning a close decision.

Style makes fights and Marquez doesn't like being forced to be the aggressor. Which is why Floyd picked the fight.

The size factor and Marquez losing all his mobility was just icing on the cake. Oh wait, not making weight was icing on the cake.

I would have to say that was Floyds best win throughout his whole career.

ok well yeah it would have been a better fight at 135 because floyd would strugle to make that weight and wouldnt be at 100% i mean floyd didnt even risk making the 144lbs catch weight in fear that he wouldnt be 100%

ok so as you said jmm strugled at a lower weight against casa an old on the way out casa for that matter but you give floyd credit for beating him 2 weight divisions above his best weight where he strugled somewhat agains casamayor?

im not discrediting jmm im a big fan im just saying this win for floyd is average a win against a top10 WW would have been better

I can maybe see the case for most impressive but not best, not even close. His best win was over Castillo for sure, he actually had to fight in that one. I personally feel the way he handled Gatti was his most impressive, he showed great countering, boxing ability, evasion and he was actually aggressive and put excellent combo's together. If Floyd fought like that each fight, he would certainly be one of my favorite fighters.

Agreeing with TS. Mayweather didnt prove anything. As everyone on this forum already has said: he needs to fight a real WW (Mosley, Cotto)

Well let's not say REAL welterweight because he might actually do it, and pick a weak ass one. Who needs to fight is a welterweight within the top 10 rankings

Of course he would pick a weak one lol. No way he fights Cotto or Mosley.

I don't think it was a good win either, of course a featherweight fighting at lightweight would slow and sluggish with an added 20 lbs added on and Mayweather knew it. He made it look competitive by offering to drop weight himself knowing darn well he wouldn't. It was all a con job painted into a pretty picture by HBO's 24-7. No disrrespect to those that buy the Mayweather hype but I have been tired of it for years.

Far from a good win, he picked on a small guy and he couldn't knock the guy out.
