You just discredited Mayweather's win vs. DLH because DLH was 35. Listen, ****sexual, Hopkins WAS 43, Jones WAS 39.

No, I discredited Mayweather's win over DLH because he has had an incredibly hard career, fighting an absolute who's who of boxing this past 12 years and Mayweather winning a SD over him is nothing. He was way, way, way past his best.

Hopkins on the other hand was not very past his best. As shown by his absolute demolition of Kelly Pavlik, even if he was blown up.

I mean look at DLH. Two fights after Floyd he was beaten up by Forbes and made to quit in 8 rounds by a 130 pounder.

So it's OK for Pavlik to jump 10 pounds but unacceptable for Marquez to jump 11 pounds... OK gotcha! Thanks for clearing it up for me.

My bad, I mean Juarez is Mexican. I'm an American citizen too, it doesn't mean that I would get a decision vs. Juan Diaz in Texas.

No, it's not ok. I have already discredited Hopkins for constantly dragging up smaller fighters. He tried it with Calzaghe and lost though! Haha.

Good for Joe. By no means is the Hopkins win a stain on his resume, it's a solid one, but when that's all he has to hang his hat on is where it's get troublesome.

Marciano knocked out Joe Louis. Is Marciano the greatest heavy of all time?

No he is not the greatest Heavy....

Calzaghe is without a doubt the best SMW of the last decade though.

Very True, it was the poor judging at boxing at the LA Olympics that led to the greatest robbery in history in Korea four years later, when Jones had the gold medal stolen from him, in LA something like 20 of 21 decisions went to the US fighter, many of them against Korean fighters, the Koreans didn't forget.

However, Europe, rather than the UK, is a very risky place to fight, the joke is that you have to knock someone out in Germany or Italy to get a draw. Sven Ottke lost at least three times to US and UK fighters, but was saved by corrupt judging, with the ref even being in on it in the Robin Reid fight.

If he was so old, why was he fighting at all? To fool the public into believing he was great? So that 50 years from now people will look at his resume and say "Damn, he beat Hopkins and RJJ?"?
Need I remind you Pavlik was 18 years younger than BHop in his next fight. The RJJ fight was a money maker for both parties nothing more.

The point is you can't give Calzaghe **** for fighting old past prime fighters when he was old and past prime himself, thats just fcuking ignorant.

For teh record there is 20 months difference in age between RJJ and Calzaghe hardly a fcuking gulf.

Reid was actually warned for punching in the Ottke fight.
