Also Shane doesn't even use the ****ing jab, that punch doesn't even exist in his arsenel, and he only brought it out against marharito (probably because Naazim told him too). I mean Ricardo mayorga threw more jabs against mosley, it isn't hard to do.
Actually, he was not slipping and slidding early in the fight it was in the later part of the fight that he was slidding. Clottey go caught coming in and that was that. The ring was pretty dry in the first round. The fact that he got caught trying to come in was by design. Clottey's M.O is to try to steal or secure the round by letting his hands go just before the bell or just after the tap

That's the entire fight. If Cotto can pump his jab in Pac's face every time Pac darts in, Cotto will win. If he can't Pac will win.

We'll know by the 3rd-4th round what's gonna happen.

Cotto needs to do what he should have done against Margarito and keep the fight in the middle of the ring. He has much better pivots and turns than Pacquiao on the inside, but he won't get to use them if his back is on the ropes.

The left hook is going to be important for Cotto because Pac tends to drop his right after he jabs. It comes from his chin and goes back to his chest. He needs to be willing to eat a jab to land a left hook.

Not saying he wont throw an effective right but I believe we've seen that when Cotto goes up against real speed, Zab/Mosley, his best weapon is his jab to help neutralize some of that speed.

All those guys u mentioned can't hold a candle next to Larry Holmes jab.

Cotto doesn't need a Larry Holmes jab to neutralize his speed, any jab will do it if timed correctly. I can see Cotto making adjustments during the fight and doing just that.

Cotto has everything to beat Pac. I would be seriously in shock to see Cotto knocked down in the first, so if it happens i'll be the first one to give Manny a parade.

its ****** to compare cotto's jab to clottey and margarito against his jab to pac. those other two are like robots in there. even shane and judah weren't as elusive as pac, they have the handspeed but their footwork and head movement arent the same as pac's.

Cotto has a very stiff and well timed jab. A big part of the fight will be if Cotto can neutralize Pac's darting in and out with his jab or will Pac be able to consistently shoot a left hand counter when Cotto (who sometimes drops his right when he jabs) when Cotto jabs? Making Cotto tentative in throwing it with conviction?
No...too much head movement...(no ****).....if Cotto wants the jab to be effective...aim at Pac's chest....
