Cotto's got a hard sneaky jab and it will be one of the main weapons he'll use to beat Pac. Cotto will use his jab to disrupt Pac's rhythm and catch Pac with his underated right.

Cotto's jab can be and will be a factor if he's not throwing it flat-footed. Because, Pac will be rotating around Cotto all night as he jumping in and out to land his combinations.

Agreed - Manny's speed and movement will cause alot of frustration for Cotto and that's the first hurdle he has to clear.

its ****** to compare cotto's jab to clottey and margarito against his jab to pac. those other two are like robots in there. even shane and judah weren't as elusive as pac, they have the handspeed but their footwork and head movement arent the same as pac's.

That's the first and biggest problem many fighter's have with Manny - He's a human dynamo in the ring and never stops. Cotto cannot, CANNOT fight this fight flat-footed .... because he will not have the time he's used to for setting up his punches.

The tool that Miguel needs to work is his defense.

Miguel still leans forward with his elbows out, and is vulnerable to the uppercut. Having watched some of Mig's fights recently, i noticed that everybody was able to land HARD uppercuts on his chin to hurt him. Torres. Judah. Margarito.

Cotto's jab will be effective in the fight. Cotto will look to be swift on his feet from time to time too. Cotto will try to give Manny different angles and will use the right hand more in this fight. Cotto will be well suited to not try to sit down on his hooks until he has made Manny show some respect. Follow that up with switching from South Paw to orthodox from time to time and we will have a nice little fight. Cotto just has to make sure he does not give Manny any opportunity to **** his cannons from outside and catch him flush. It took Marquez a minute to figure that out but he adjusted despite being dropped early in the fight. If I were Cotto, as soon as I hit the body and Manny tries to pose by throwing his gloves in the air, I would use that window of opportunity to strike him hard. Do not sit there and admire your work. Some one like Floyd would eat that kind of silly Manny behavior up with two or three bombs.

More than his jab, I think his lead right hand will be the difference, he throws it very fast and is very accurate with it.

judah timed and countered cottos lead rights and 1 -2's with devastating results. cotto needs to hit pac wit 3 puch combos or he will get hurt bad.

Can Pac handle Cotto's punches is my main concern. Pac will get hit, he closes his eyes a lot. There's no doubt Pac is the quicker guy with the higher work rate.

If and when PAC gets hit in the first round, we'll be able to decide how this is going to end up.

I don't think so. Cotto has a decent jab, but come on, it isn't a Vernon Forrest type of a jab that will shut your offense down, or a Ike Quartey jab that will discombobulate you, or a Winky Wright jab that will nullyfy your attack.
