Because it was promoted half decent and it got people who don't care about boxing into it in a sense. People bought that ****.

It received mainstream press and a lot of play.

I just hate to think someone like Kimbo Slice would get more play than this .
Kimbo Slice got a Saturday Night CBS prime-time slot.

Do you think they would give that to Miguel Cotto?

        They should but they won't.

I mean there's 20 boxers I could think of that should get it.

Yet, it went to Kimbo Slice, because of marketing and marketing alone.

I live in Vegas and I'm not hearing **** about this fight. It's a great matchup to. Floyd vs JMM was like that at first until JMM drank his piss. Then a lot of people started to talk about the fight.

I actually see this fight doing around 700,000 at the most

Ugh, Look at it this way.

Anyone who watches Network TV that late id say theres a 60 % they dnt have cable. Cause otherwise im sure theyd be watchn starz or HBO or First and 48 on AE.

Then you have to think if they dnt have cable, then they probably dont watch boxing. Because boxing now only comes on cable. So they most likely arnt the type that would buy a PPV if they dnt even wanna pay a cable bill.

              So in conclusion.

Being on a great late night talk show isnt that much better than being on a decent cable show.

              This is all in theory.

If people think May-dlh doing 2 million was a big feat, well they wouldn't last long in advertising.

I don't get why they don't try new things.
J-reck is SOOO on top of this.

Think about it, guys. Every last one of us knows who Keith Eloi is. Oh, you don't recognize the name? What if I say "guy who jumped into the back of a pickup truck"? Exactly.

Now, how much did that cost?

They mentioned it on First Take Wed. Cotto's not going to go on any TV shows. He's too drawn back.

It'll still be popular, and it has the best chance to catch the mainstream after the fight.

Really I look at what Kimbo did and i can do nothing but admire it.

It cost him next to nothing to pay a few guys to let him beat the **** out of them and post on the internet and let the video go viral.

He not paying liscening fees, copyrights, air time. He cutting 90% of advertisement cost right there.

And lok wheres its got him. They made an entire season of a show just because he wanted a shot at it. Hes done absolutely nothing in MMA yet he is one of the biggest names.
