I think McGirt can equip Gatti with the right gameplan to beat Floyd, but Gatti won't be able to apply it. Besides Gatti is one-dimensional. If this is true, if Bruseles in January, and Gatti in June, it looks like an easy year for PBF..

It will be fun while it lasts. I think Gatti will suprize some people by giving a better performance that expected. But Mayweather knows how to stink it up and turn a fight into a boxing match....just kidding. I think it will have its moments, but the skill skill factor is way in Mayweather's favor.Comment

No, DLH had power at 140lbs, Mayweather dosen't.....or at least hasn't shown much. Mayweather has never been what you call a "dominating" type fighter. He is slick and hard to his....confuses his opponents, dosen't overwhelm them with power.Comment

Mayweathers Resume
I'm sick of hearing people question Floyd's resume. This guy has one of the best resumes in the business. Full of champs and ex champs. He fought Chico, Castillo twice, Carlos Hernandez, , Jesus Chavez, Angel Manfredy, Corley, Sosa, Phillip N'Dou, Emanuel Augustus, Jukko, Carlos Risos, Goya Vargas and faught Genaro Hernadez for the title when he was just 21 years old. Tszyu, Harris, Zab or Spinks havent fought anyone close to that level of opponents, and neither has anyone on your #for# list except for Morales. Hopkins only has the two big wins over smaller opponents and one was a washed up DeLahoya who really just lost to Sturm. The rest of his opponents are garbage. Hatton has already turned Floyd down, and so has Gatti. The networks wont allow him and KT to fight, Arum isnt going to put Cotto in the ring with Floyd this soon, and if he faught Harris then he would lose his #1 ranking in the WBC for a big money PPV fight with Gatti, and trust me Gatti wont fight him if he doesnt have to. The guy is undefeated and has been a champ for over 6 years. People want to give Hopinks credit for dominating a division for so long and having 19 defenses, but Floyd has been a champ for 6 years and has had 15 fights since and has moved up twice and against better oppostition. Anyone can have a bunch of defenses against nobody's but what would've happened to Hopkins if he moved up. What if Floyd would still be at 130. He would be dominating everyone. Hopkins victories over Tito and Oscar wouldnt have been more impressive than the smaller guys Floyd would have faught. Who wouldve beaten him? Do you think Morales, Barrera, Pac Man, Marquez, Frietas or Cassamora wouldve beaten him. He would have one of the best resume's of all time, but he wanted the harder fights. He wouldve been bigger, stronger and faster than all those guysOriginally posted by gurufloyd's only been in one superfight(chico), it's time for him to face some other top guys, like tsyzu, harris, zab, spinks, even cottoComment

I agree with you almost entirely about Hopkins and Floyd. Hokins has played it safe and so far Floyd has taken risks, I respect the hell out of that! I would ide to see Bernard in a fight where you knew his opponenet was coming at him to hurt him, ie-Tarver, Calzaghe, LAcy)I am afraid that this will never happen. Floy has a loss in my book, there is no way he got the dedison against JL Castillo the first time, I think Floy could rip up a lot of the 140 division however I think KT is not someone that he will call out. Forget about the networks not allowing thqat fight for a second. KT is the best ofgfensive fighter in the divsion, not question! He is bigger, faster stronger than Castillo as well. Floyd still strougled with Castillo the second time around, there is little chance in my mind that he beats KT. Anyone else he has too be the favorite.
Again you are dead on about fighters like Floyd taking risks, many people on this site talk **** about Floyd, Zab, Fernando, Oscar, Tito, Jones Jr, MAyorga, Mosley etc. They ***** and moan when these guys move up in weight and are not as effective ( I am guilty at times as well). The simple fact is that these guys wanted to test there limits, do things that few have ever done before...not too mention give the fans what they desire!!!
Bernard Hopkins is a great fighter no doubt about it, however his biggest victories in the ring are against guys that were taking that risk that you mentioned, these fighters who take the risks should be treated a bit more fairly than those champions who never take risks. I still rate BHOP above Floyd, but if Hopkins's next major fight (not including Eastman)is against a Winky Wright than I will have no choice but too replace him with Floyd.Comment
