HBO 24/7 ratings are significantly down with Pacquiao/Cotto.

Personally I dont think Pac can beat Shane!

This is another "BIG FIGHT" but it wouldnt be "COMPETITIVE". Mosley deserves big paydays just like Floyd, but let me be honest here: I would rather see Shane vs Floyd than Shane vs Pacman.

SHANE VS FLOYD is a BIG COMPETITIVE FIGHT in my opinion. It would probably be the biggest most competitive matc that either fighter can make at 147!

Reality of it is, floyd spanks both jmm and pacman!

Sooooo, Pacman would have been a great fight. But the guy who fought even with Pacman was a crap fight. Got it.
FLOYD isnt Ray Leonard but you have to give Ray Leonard serious respect for fighting the best middleweight after such a long layoff. FLOYD would have gained that same respect fighting Shane or Cotto after a 21 month layoff. And if Floyd were to have beaten either fighter after a 21 month layoff, he could seriously make claims of being ranked up there as one of the greats of all time. Beating JMM did nothing but make Floyd alot of money. Im all about making money but making money and leaving a legacy should go hand in hand!

            Is he?
Marquez is not a great WW. Marquez is not a great JWW. Marquez proved himself somewhat at LW, but that's not where he fought Floyd, is it?

Whether you give Pac credit for DLH or not, he still has the win over Hatton at 40 and if he wins against Cotto, he will have made much more noise above LW than JMM did.

Hence he will be a much more credible opponent for Floyd at what will likely be WW, than JMM was. Comprende?

What is this? The 5th thread about the Pac/Cotto 24/7, or just the 3rd, that you've created?

No Sir, Im not hero to the downtrodden, LOL I just understand whats really going on here. I know its all about business with Floyd, and it should be about business with all these fighters because HBO is making a killing off of all these fighters. I just feel that since every body is making money off of the casual boxing fan, they at least deserve to get their monies worth. The Casual boxing fan loves the "event", the hardcore boxing fan wants "value"! This is why I referenced the Leonard vs Hagler fight. It brought in the casual boxing fan who loved the "BIG EVENT" aspect of the return of Ray Leonard and the fight itself was competitive and the decision is still talked about today. Thats a big money event that was competitive and the legacy of both fighters are still in tact regardless of who really won or lost the fight.

Yes Shane deserves big money when he fights. Any fighter who consistantly puts their life on the line fighting for the entertainment of ignorant casual fans, deserve big money. Shane deserves it just as much as Floyd or any other fighter deserves to make big money. Thats why I dont "hate" on any of these fighters who fight for a living. There are alot of businessmen in the sport who make big money and they dont even take a punch when these guys consistently fight so that others can eat to. For you to say that Shane does not deserve big money when he fights is unfair when you know that there are alot of people in the sport who are making alot more than both Shane and Floyd and their lives are on the line..
