newsflash at the time floyd beat judah, baldomir, and de la hoya they were all champions or former champions and this is floyds 2nd,3rd, and 4th fight at a higher weight.

Floyd's a chess player in the ring, Al Haymon, Floyd and Leonard Ellerbe are chess players outside of the ring. Floyd is about his business and money is obivously very important to the man. It's what'll helps support his true legacy after he'd done in the ring, his FAMILY. Luckily for boxing fans, all megafights = money= legacy. Listen, never pin yourself in a corner if you don't have to and always allow for as many options to be open as possible. Floyd can't win but he doesn't help himself. Floyd is the biggest attraction in boxing because people don't stop talking about him as evidenced by these message boards and the fact that his name gets brought up in discussing fights he's not even involved in. Pacquiao is currently the second biggest attraction and that fight NEEDS to happen in order to attract more attention.

However, we need to discuss more than just Mayweather on this board. I swear Floyd's name comes up in 80% of threads and there are too many threads about the same damn thing!

It's not about how popular it is but how much of an attraction he is. The fact that people feel affected enough or care enough about him to laugh so much is incredible. Think about other fighters people dislike or poke fun at and none of them get this level of attention and thats reflected by his PPV etc.

He is probably the most bi-polar interviewee though. He's either quite passive and vague or he gets ultra emotional and defensive.

I disagree Tito had power. Also Joppy fought ******ly. He didn't cover his face at all against Tito. Tito was just teeing off. But, if you feel the tape on the knuckle benefited him that is fine. Tito fought the best and if you the only reason he did that was cuz he had tape on his knucles that is fine. But, you understood what my point was about Floyd fight the best.

I have no problem with Floyd last 3 opponents. I have no problem if Floyd fights for the money. That is fine with me. More power to him for that. He don't have to figh the best for all I care. But, as long as he is fighting for the money and not fighting the best out there. Nobody can claim he is the best. He has to prove he is the best by beating the best. I don't see why his fans don't see that? Why his fans defend him? Nobody in the world won't take the money. However, if you take the money cant be called the best. Feel me?
