1. He's BEEN TRAINING for Quintana. He said himself he hasnt been to the gym in 5 days... 5 DAYS is that really gonna make or break you? Get real.. So in actuallity he's been training for weeks and now has another 5 weeks.. He's scared.. Just like he turned down Sergio Martinez.. What was his excuse for that one??? I bet if this one Kendall Holt he'd jump to the oppurtunity

Hopefully the Mexicans will keep backing Arreola. Williams deserves a way bigger fan base than what he's got because he's exciting and always goes out of his way to make a statement on his wins. A lot of these other American fighters like Dirrell, Ward, and Dawson lack that very attribute.

He isn't saying that 650k isn't good enough money, he's saying that it isn't enough money for SHORT NOTICE against a guy like P WILL!.

Seriously, If he were just looking for a pay day, sure. But this is a fight he actually wants to WIN, and if he had a longer training camp, 650k wouldn't be an issue (which is what he said)

But 650 isn't enough to get him to take a short notice fight against a guy who was already in the gym planning a MW title bout.

Thank you for putting this out there, I was post the exact samething by a good source who has acess to the Tv networks and that what he told me also, This is why am a bit pissed with Clottey...he might never get a chance like this if he lets this go.

Where are the Williams haters at in this thread except for Dirt Diggler and Chicano 79? You can't defend what Clottey is doing right now. And not only that, HBO is getting ready to swap Paul's date with the Diaz-Malinaggi fight. So Clottey should have zero excuses where preparation is concerned.

i understand what clottey is sayin but he has to take what he can get. if he takes the 650k and beats P.will that could lead to bigger paydays down the road. he wants the big payday right now but thats not how it works

I know everyone on here will critisize my next comment but here goes; I bet you that Quinatan would fight Pwill in a second for that amount on the current date for the fight. Pwill's people should give him a call so we can see him fight again before the year is over.
