Im not saying he can't. Hell that should be every fighters objective. I'm just saying if he can't get a big name, then he should beat a clottey or martinez to better position himself.

For example Shane wants Floyd. Well since that fight may not happen, why not go out and beat Clottey and Berto, get more titles and better your chances. Had Mosley done that this past year instead of waiting for a big fight like Paul, then Mosley would have his big fight right now. Same **** with Paul. Big fight falls through or someone ducks you, beat the **** outta of a solid opponent and people will take notice.

None of those guys stand up to a Winky. None. Paul Williams wants big fights because all fighters do. In the mean time, he's taking on tough opponents, something NOT all fighters do.

Corley was a damn good fighter, and I know people like to **** on Gatti but he was a 2 division champ. Zab who was on his game that night was pretty impressive also.

I would put those guy at or above Verno but Winky would be above them all.

But that's exactly what Paul Williams has done and is doing.

He ain't owed ****. But he can rule at 154. Nobody there is a big enuf star to get away wit that high risk-low reward **** to dodge him. I don't think he can be comfortable at WW no more, and I don't think Pavlik wants none, injured or not. JMW is Pwill's to own. Only Martinez can beat him there imo.

Exactly. If those guys are good enough, moving up to face Winky, then beating his a** for 12 rounds should be more than enough.

I agree fighters should fight and not wait on others for handouts, I am pretty sure Williams is going to fight a quality guy on the 5th and for his sake I hope he puts on an impressive display.

Anyway, Cintron has skipped out on two fights against Paul. So whether he doesn't like him or "calls him out" (what immature fans claim is proof of non-ducking), his team certainly didn't act that way at the negotiating table.
what the hell? what are you 12?

i dont like paul because he talks so much smack hes like a tarver he talks all this and that but when he gets his ass kicked he makes excuses...hes a diva but hasnt proved to be elite he beat a 900 yr old phillips and winky who looked like **** in his previous fight and was inactive for 2 yrs pwill needs to fight quintana who has expressed that he wants to fight him numerous times but pwill doesnt want it kirkland called him out but pwill thinking hes a superstar said that kirkland doesnt have a big enough fanbase to fight him

hes not feared....every one knows if you say anything long enough people will believe you...he has nothing but his reach and stamina cant fight inside cant box has overrated power

I'm cool on Williams, I don't like to go overboard on him as I think he is kind of a piss poor technician but dude can fight and deserves some respect. He is not an easy dude to defeat I know that for certain.
