Hopkins has a great career, but he's overrated now. I don't think he beats Adamek, Dawson, or some of the boxers in the SMW division. Hopkins fans think I'm being disrespectful when I say that, I'm not. It's just that his time is up and it shows in the ring. He's much slower, less sharper, really sloppy (see Winky fight), and he's doesn't look technically schooled like he used to be.

Maybe his p4p # 3 ranking is a bit high but I wouldnt say he's overrated since he's coming off his biggest victory against Pavlik. I do agree tho that I dont think he can beat all the young guns anymore and i'm sure there's alot who could get a victory. I dont think anyone can school him tho even at this age. lol it's just hard arguing that a 44 year old man can beat up all the top contenders. Age catches up to the best of em sooner or later. But Bhop loves proving ppl wrong so I think he got another good fight or 2 left in him

Jones has been active and focused on fighting, while old Hopkins has been sitting around inactive. Jones is fighting decent opponents, former world titleholders his own size like Green, while Hopkins will now fight a clubfighter from two weight classes smaller than LH.

And Roy beat him before, he knows how to do it!

Hopkins is the best there is, the best there was and the best every Middleweight since Marvin Hagler. There will never be another middleweight like Bernard Hopkins. His record defense record speaks for itself and for him to go up to Lightheavyweight and still win fights is icing on the cake for his career. He will be judged by his middleweight career..
