Ah, so you meant defensive speed. Well, imo, Pac doesn't have that much of a defense. His defense is his offense, and his mobility. Floyd would fight a different fight than Pac must. Pac can use fast footwork and explosive leg/calf strength to dart inside and back outside, and have plenty of lateral movement, besides. He has also learned in his last few fights to move his head more, which is good. I don't think speed would be a particular issue, unless you would like to further delve into what you meant?
In all his past fights, pac never really gave me any indication that he's comfortable not pushing the action. Against naturally bigger opponents such as JMM and Hatton, he got in their faces. With DLH he darted in and out and side to side, but still was the aggressor. I think that that will be the story of the fight, because the way he beats Cotto, aside from a Mayweather approach, as you said, is to match Cotto's relentless aggression with his own. A la Margarito.
Its hard to tell who has more heart, but do you think Pac would have quit in a similar circumstance Cotto did? And let me also say I agree with Cotto bowing out for the "benefit of his kids", it was very sensible. But its almost like Pac has ****** heart..the type that can get you severely injured or killed. He strikes me as the type that would go out on his shield.
I was just throwing the 24/7 comment out there, didn't mean nothing by it.
