Pac's Corner Will Throw In The Towel

just to comment on the work rate..
if the manny's punches do not have enough power to hurt cotto it wont matter the work rate because cotto will be willing to trade. the only way manny's workrate will be a factor if there is enough power in them to make cotto not want to trade.
this is where i think the fight hinges upon and where opinions come into the discussion.
I think manny has power but not the power need to make cotto change his game plan. I predict that the first round both of these guys will come out swinging... great fight!!
I think Cotto will feel pac's power, and vice versa.
Hence, workrate and speed and angles will be king. Who can bring their advantages to bear the the fastest?
Should be a great fight.Comment

Man, idk, i think i'm just a casual boxing fan. But this Pac guy eversince i saw him fight as am, i was lmao watching him as if his hands were whirling like watching those tv cartoons show. It was really comical watching him fight and then suddenly his opponent is down on the canvas.Comment

When Pac fans say he has a "high punch volume". I just realized something...
You know Cotto has alot of solid experiences. Cotto has shown his ability to handle Speed/Boxer types (Mosely, Judah, I'm sure many others but for argument sake, I named the recent two).
You also seen Cotto's ability to handle elusive/boxer types (Quintana, Malanaggi)
You seen him box the Puncher/Volume (margaritos)
Defensive Boxers...(Clotteys) etc...
To say Pac has volume punching...they are right...to an extent...but it seemed to work with DLH, and Hatton, Diaz (recent). Each one with a legitamate reason as to why he was able to "volume punch". De La Hoya could not match the "speed" of his many punches (emaciated)lol, Hatton-with no head movement, and lack of defensive skill who wouldn't want to punch him repeatedly, Diaz slow as molassases. Was Pac a volume puncher in the 2nd JMM fight? Nope. Why? Marquez beat him to the punch...Cotto may possibly produce the same results. Pac will be very hesistant and sparce with his punches because he will be timed, and countered too.
I will say this though...Pac is looking pretty strong these days, so the speed and power in his punch will be very crucial. I don't see Pac whipping out three or four punch combos like he did in my other examples.
Just a thought.Comment
