You can hardly blame him for that... half of the top (non football) sport earners in the UK live in monaco.
    financially it makes sence.

wouldnt say he got everything handed to him but people be bitchin bout how he didnt do **** at 140 but got a title shot because of his fame

also him bragging about becoming the youngest world champion from britain while being carefully handled by warren didnt help

personally got nothin against the kid, his chin is problematic though

alot of jealousy out there, fact is no matter what happens the guy is multi millionnaire who can retire right now and still have more then enough money
It's too easy to point to race, it's about more than that. I didn't see people shun Hamed or Benn or Lewis because of race.

Warren set him up badly as far as the UK public is concerned by putting him up against no-names and having interviewers tell him how great he was after people tuned in to see a crappy 1 round fight. Khan's mistake was being naive enough to agree with them.

Good luck to the guy, hope he does well for himself.

I came across a very good article a while ago which compared Khan to Bernard Dunne . Dunne like Khan was undefeated before he was blown away in one round ( in dunne's case against Kiko Martinez) , then he bounced back and won a world title . But in dunne's case there was no public backlash after he lost , he was celebrated when he won his title and still people love him even though he lost it in his first defence . If that were to happen to Khan i have no doubt that there would be an outpouring of people saying stuff like "good that chinless overhyped bum lost".
Also when dunne first lost to martinez there was no outcry for him to immediately have a rematch , even after he won his title but with Khan people wont stop going on about it .

err because they are the same person and his name is Muhammad Ali. that is the name he changed it to and that is the name he wants to be known as.

just think its an interesting point to bring up, particulary in this thread

I don't remember Dunne being on TV 20 times a year telling everyone how great he was for beating people from 2-3 division below him or headlineing PPV's fighting postmen from belfast.

              Hardly a fair comparison.

I actually do come from a council estate in Rochdale and my best mate at school was born in Bombay. Still at least noneone can accuse you of racism or using inaccurate sterotypes right? RIGHT?

nope, the bottom line is the majority of the hate for Khan is due to his race. Had he been white he would not be getting the same level of stick.

i find it funny how someone with a Hatton picture can say "warren...putting him up against no-names" . Was that not the same as Hatton in his early career? only difference is Khan became a world champ at 22 whereas Hatton fought and defended the fake WBU belt for god knows how long
