Yh theres like 2 in the premiership i could name....Park Ji Sung and Lee that plays for bolton....nakamura for celtic lolYeah Cricket is the only sport the asian communities have really broken through, I don't think anyone would argue that monty panesar is anything othr than a well loved cricketing icon.
But as you say alot of the racism stems from 9/11 and monty is indian decent not pakistani.
There are Asian footballers but not from pakistan/india, Je Sun Park at man utd for example.
And i dunno how the P word started....But any indian or pakistani...get called "pak1"..... to be honest, most people cant tell them apart...
But the word shouldnt be used....
I had an arguement with a boy in my class because he tried telling me the word "pak1" isnt as bad as the word "******" what a fking cheek ... just cos he was black he thinks the racist word towards his race is worse....some people i will never understand what goes through their headsComment

Because Pakistani communities are insular and Indian communities aren't.Off topic a bit but i dont get why some people over here hate people of pakistani origin and not people of indian origin??? Because i seem to know how they call everyone the P word even if they're not from there..
So why the hostility toward pakistani national and not indians so much???
It's a sweeping generality but indian communities are much better at absorbing into British society (so are the chineese and afro caribean) than the pakistani communities.
Personally (here comes another sweeping generality) I find all of the asian subcontinent peoples much more friendly than the eastern Europeans, but thats just personal experiance.
At school the indians where totally part of teh school but the small number of pakistani's pretty much stayed in theri own social group, and that was a common theme through out the area i grew up with from what I gathered.Comment

Okay i get it, You mean they segregate themselves unlike indian origin who integrate with every culture...i think thats true when i think about it.
To be honest i cant tell who is who unless i ask them and i find indians more friendly or welcoming than people of pakistani origin, Just like i find caribbeans more hostile than african people but thats more own personal experience.Comment

He's been spoon-fed average opponents with inflated records since he turned professional. The pillar-to-post beating that he got at the gloves of Prescott was a turning point in his career. He came back, yes, and even won an alphabet title. But, anyone can do that. He still has yet to impress me.
Overrated.Comment
