    I've got nothing against him.

However, it is kind of annoying when he refers to himself in the third person.

I wonder if it will improve with maturity in age, weight, and strength. Sometimes that happens.

Not a fan of his style; I find him one dimensional and lacking in ring IQ. Slight resentment at him having everything handed to him on a silver platter.

I'm probably quite a mild Khan detractor in comparison to a lot of people though.

They hate him because he is a Pakistani. Its race more than anything. If he resembled a pub crawling pale red head they would love him. Shave really. Khan is very skilled.

I was thinking about why athletes would do this and if it isn't ego, then it may be that they look at their "Name" as a team conceived result/machine.

Think of it this way: Your name is Shadows. In order to make "Shadows" a Champion, it will take more than yourself to become Champion. All the workers involved are working on you like they would work on a machine to win a race, like Team Ferrari working on one of their cars. "You/I" becomes a part of Them which now makes your Name a brand/company/machine.

Basically, it prevents you from using "I" and taking all the credit. Using your Name in 3rd person gives credit to the Team for building you.

I have to hand it to you, that is the best possible explanation I've ever read.

I'm from the same town as Kahn and have seen out and about regularly in the past - I think e's safe and a very good boxer.

Anyway I can definitely say that a lot of ppl I know don't like him because of his race - even mates of mine who don't really know much a bout boxing don't like him because he's a **** which probably stems from jealousy and racism, pretty sad really.
