LOL sounds like the stories of when Peterson went in and was ****in Floyd up during his sparring sessions for the Marquez fight.

I wouldn't put too much into this. Both could be tellin the truth, but Gato seems like he's going to extra length to try to make a name for himself at the expense of Cotto. Bad publicity is good publicity.

LOL how do you know Gato is an ******* and that Cotto is a personally respectable person? I know Gato personally, I wouldn't categorize him as an ******* at all. He's actually a pretty nice guy. I don't know Cotto so I can't speculate about how he is as a person.

Augie Sanchez was no great shakes in the pros but he owns amateur wins over Mayweather with big gloves and headgear. So too does Corrales I believe. Sparring is a different thing with headgear.

I've been watching Ossie Duran school Pawel Wolak in the gym but Duran doesn't show up on fight night and Wolak has been demolishing his opponents. Sparring and actual fights aren't the same thing.

When have you seen Gato help the man and woman of the US Armed Forces?

Cotto is as respectable as it gets and you never see him taking **** about anyone.

Perhaps Cotto has a good publicist who set up some community action stuff for public relations purposes. Ever think about that? I've known some boxers that are renowned for their philanthropic/community outreach endeavors that weren't very nice people.

I've heard some boxers complain about how they hate that their managers made them feed the homeless on Thanksgiving, that stuff happens.

And of course it's a noble thing to help out a good cause but I'm not going to judge someone by how they behave in the public eye. Why not find out what he's like away from the cameras and press?

And as I've said, I have no idea how Cotto is as a person because I've never been around him like that. For all I know the man is a saint. But I'm playing Devil's advocate and showing that being a good boxer does not necessarily equate to being a respectable person.

Also, perhaps Figueroa doesn't have the people around him to facilitate an opportunity to help out big causes like Cotto does.

Gato was a three year veteran of the Army as well.
