Mayweather beating Marquez had little to do with weight and more to do with skill and speed.
If Mayweather had brutally KOed Marquez or was pushing him around on the inside, then maybe weight is a factor, but that's not what happened.
Mayweather was quicker and showed the better skill level and accuracy, what does that have to do with weight?Comment

Calzaghe wins every single round against Shane at 168. Would you give Calzaghe credit for that?Mayweather beating Marquez had little to do with weight and more to do with skill and speed.

it has to do with weight because jmm did not carry the extra weight well. not only that, but floyd was too big, he was moving jmm around with a jab, and when jmm did connect he was unable to even phase pbf.Mayweather beating Marquez had little to do with weight and more to do with skill and speed.

you don't have to impose your weight by pushing around on the inside to use your weight. just by being bigger and stronger floyd didn't have to worry about jmm hurting him or getting physical. all floyd needed to do was not get embarassed by the smaller man.
sparring is sparring.
the HW by nature is that way... the lower divisions are not.Comment

I wish you were there to tell that to my cracked ribs..about 5 months ago. lol
So it's just that way, eh? no justification or explanation or LOGIC behind it...its just "how it is"

"arguably" my ass. he had a draw and a win against marquez. end this **** alreadyMayweather actually beat Marquez.
Pacquiao, despite having a weight, size, age, reach, power, and speed advantage over Marquez arguably lost both fights against him.

P4P ? LOL , Pacquiao got whooped by the smaller man. Outboxed, outlanded, and then Pac ran up in weight to fight shot weight drained leftovers.

You're talking about Shane Mosley going up 14 pounds from his highest weight to fight a guy who spend his career at the weight and eventually moved up to 175. We're talking about a guy (Marquez) going up 9 pounds from his highest weight and fighting a guy (Mayweather) who began his career at 130, only 4 pounds above where Marquez began his career.
Apples and oranges my friend.
The excuses for Floyd's domination of this sport get weaker by the day. I gave up a long time ago with that. Just accept that he's the best fighter in the sport and Manny Pacquiao can't hold his jock strap.Comment

dans and Pullcounter never agree, this moves "consecutive disagreed points" to about 535. I can't wait until we agree one day, it will be like a lunar eclipse.it has to do with weight because jmm did not carry the extra weight well. not only that, but floyd was too big, he was moving jmm around with a jab, and when jmm did connect he was unable to even phase pbf.
