Floyd has faced that style. He has faced every style, and beat all comfortably.
Pac hasnt beaten everyone in devastating fashion. JMM. Oscar was old and shot.

I dont think its about just accomplishments. Greatest boxer of our time is different to p4p champion.

Floyd has great accomplishments, plus he's undefeated, plus people believe no one will beat him.
Jones was great, but didnt face the best SMW's, or LHW'S.
i disagree with your definition of p4p champion. i always believed it means that if all boxers are the same size, the p4p champ "would have" beat them all. it is based on assumptions, nothing more. that is why i don't have a problem with anyone saying floyd is better than manny in a "p4p" sense.

greatness, on the other hand SHOULD be based on accomplishments. what a fighter did in his career is the best gauge for this. pac has undoubtedly did more to cement his legacy as a great fighter than floyd did.

if floyd beats pacquiao, does that mean that floyd is GREATER than pacquiao?

i don't think so. his rise over the weight classes, no matter how much people discredit them, is something special. he currently is the only boxer to claim 4 lineal championship, and is gunning for a record 7 title. it speaks for itself. floyd has 5. resume wise, pacquiao's is better and most people would agree with this.

floyd's lack of competition in the ww has hurt his legacy. rationally speaking though, he "WOULD HAVE" beaten those fighters, which is what p4p means all along.

Roy, Floyd, and Pacquiao. In that order.

        True.

I belive Pac lost twice to JMM, so his record isnt quite as good as Floyds, plus floyd has fought better fresher competition...corrales, oscar, castillo. Pac beat mab, morales, but hatton, oscar were poor.

          disagree...

morales, barrera, marquez> corrales, castillo, or any other of floyd's win.

I had Pac losing to JMM twice, and he was beaten by Morales.
Morales then was beaten before he rematched Pac. He was at the end of his career, same as Hatton and Oscar.

Castillo and Corrales were in their prime at least. Oscar at JMW was still very good.

It is the miserable Mayweather. The most complete and skilled fighter indeed. Lads like Roy and Pac aren't as skilled and won't last as long, but they have accomplished almost more than him, though. Pure boxing skills "homies".

morales beat pac in their first fight, but pac hasn't peaked yet. he was the first to ko him in their rematch, i don't think he was shot by then. by the third match, he was very much shot imo.

marquez never beat pacquiao. both were close, so i don't know how it can diminish pac's status.

hatton was unbeaten lineal champ at 140. floyd fought him at 147, a weight class where hatton never looked good at.

oscar was heavily favored to win against pac even at 147. oscar had weighed in against forbes at 150. he had to go down 3 pounds, where pac had to gain 12lbs, having 1 fight at 135. oscar was destroyed. floyd fought oscar at 154, he was favored to win. he won by split decision.

Instead of "Our Time" you should've maybe said "currently active"....

Close one between PBF and MP. Can't decide. But on the other hand, real men make hard decisions. So I have to pick...I pick PBF.
