Ortiz is 30 years old and has been a professional for 10 years, has fought at TWO weight classes and has NEVER fought for a single title. He is about to RUN to 160 without fighting for a title again.

The back and forth over Boots and Ortiz is so tiresome because they're not even fighting. Boots BETTER beat Zayas because that kid doesn't have anything to offer in the ring besides good fundamentals, footwork, and he moves well when punching. None of that is sufficient to beat Boots who obviously has far superior speed, power, athleticism, and everything else.

We should all just agree that Boots has gotten more opportunities because he has. But you can't ignore Ortiz's resume because he does have some good names on there. Madrimov? Bohachuk? Lubin and Lawson is enough to get a title shot.

Again, none of this matters because if Zayas beats Boots then the mega fight will lose a lot of it's momentum. Ortiz needs to work with Oscar because he has demonstrated that he will get his fighters big fights if they're loyal to him. Look at Gabriela Fundora, Ryan Garcia, and Collazo.

Why are you ignoring the most important point cruz1383 is making? Madrimov was coming off a loss when Ortiz fought him and he had a lung issue. Ortiz left 147 because he had a medical issue. Had he fought Boots and got beat, would you have given Boots credit for beating a sick Ortiz?

If he had Lung Issues why did he take the fight. They are excuses like when everyone loses.

Pacman has a rototor cuff issue once they lost. Canelo had a hand injury once lost to Crawford. Ryan had a should issue when he lost to Rolly.

I agree with you 100% especially the one with catch weight king and the dubious "8 division" title winner. I'm playing the devil's advocate since Ortiz used the same reasons when he ran away from the 147 division.
