He's not wrong, but in fairness, from the outside at least, this seemed like a friendship too - and for me, stabbing my friend in the back is something I would never do personally. Especially if already a millionaire.
Chris Eubank Junior was loyal to materialistic gains vs. Conor Benn I & II 'and he has suffered the consequences for that i.e. He has completely annihilated his own career, and what solid boxing reputation he had associated with his resume. By weight draining himself and being beaten by a fighter in Conor Benn, that should have never been able to force him into a competitive fight'.
Note: So Regis Prograis is right in describing a lot of boxers, but? That does not mean that it is the right way to be. Boxers at a certain level are going to do good business, especially if you are a fighter in form with Eddie Hearn and matchroom.
I believe Conor Benn has, let the lust of material wealth erode his own morals in how he should be treating people 'those are the facts. And he may suffer a consequence, that he cannot repaire with his earnings'.
I don't really get caught up in this new cult of people pining over boxers promoters and their reality show lives 'but? We have seen many times over in boxing, professional fighters self destructing and sabotaging their own careers because? They struggle to control their lust for material gains, and at times treat people with respect in my opinion'.
To conclude: Therefore Conor Benn best make sure he wins his up and coming fights, because? I don't think Dana White and Zuffa Boxing are really down to stick with him win or lose.
Regis Prograis vs. Conor Benn 'is an underwhelming fight, and is not really preparing Ben for potential World title fights. He may get the win, and a few impressive highlights. But it is not really ideal or great preparation with fights vs. Ryan Garcia, Shakur Stevenson right there to be made in the near future' etc.
they will all continue to make good money ......... Regis has always been for the money more so then most all the way back to WBSS he stepped out with a money issue and it has continued for his fight life so i expect nothing but cash out cash in from his words. If they want to make the draw to the fight by way of how much money or love was lost by the promoter and fighters they will not get very far in the game .............
I picked up on his heavy hints. He seems to be making clear that if Conor doesn’t collect £15M and Dana be the lead promoter he deffo going to sue.
He keeps saying "Mark Shapiro said it's Zuffa show on a investment call so it has to be a Zuffa show"
I'm not sure if that's how it works, I know they've confirmed it's a Goldstar show at least on paper after the fact. I don't know the legalities of that but I don't think "Mark Shaprio said it" is going to hold any weight legally but again I have no real clue.
You'd think Turki and co would know the legal loopholes etc and have those side of things covered.
Hearn keeps saying "Conor is a free agent in a few weeks" and "he's getting paid 15 million for a 10 rounder" when he knows full well he isn't either of those things. I'm not a fan of his passive aggressive "play dumb" role he plays in these scenarios.
Either way, be interesting I suppose, to see what happens.
I don't believe Eddie Hearn cares much about anyone apart from his immediate family (wife?) and a few very close friends. The relationship he has with the boxers under contract is a professional one. In business, or work, you are naturally closer to some than others. Loyalty plays its part. Interestingly, having lived and worked in the US and Europe and for American bosses, I can say that loyalty is more highly regarded in the U.S. I got head-hunted by a client of my first American boss - was he ever super pi55ed! Then the 2nd boss was super pi55ed at me when I resigned - she had stuck by me when perhaps she didn't need to and felt my resignation showed a lack of reciprocal loyalty - ignoring the fact that her decisions had contributed to the stress.
In any case, Benn is not at all a likeable character but he isn't a criminal either - going where he can earn £15m is a no brainer when he doesn't have half the ability of Ortiz or Ennis. If he were to be seriously hurt in a fight I doubt very much Hearn or White will be there for him in the ensuing years.
