I think what this move signals is that Turki will F them all now.
He owns 60% of Zuffa.
This tells others that loyalty is not important.
They'll probably get the Sky deal with Conor too.

It might seem like a awful signing to some... But I think it opens the floodgates. Or at least that's the plan.

Personally think this was dana reaching into his own pockets to get one over hearn, simple as that. Connor benn aint no world draw, so if the numbers are true $10mil for zuffa debut fight then this was a dirty play by dana to get one over hearn. Nothing more, Connor will know it but hes clearly more motivated by money then loyalty or glory of the sport as im sure hearn was gonna try and get him a shot at the winner of barrios v garcia by autumn

He only backed Benn for the drug test as he was his investment, and to still make money off him future fights such as Eubank. He had the name and built a profile where he was getting the views, Eubank fights boosted his profile even more. Big L from Eddie not having him signed to a contract. No one is loyal Eddie has his own interests. He did not back Benn because of loyalty and friendship he backed him cause he was one of his big names for his company

Same way when Whyte was on a fight by fight basis he backed his failed drug tests when he was one of the big names and hid the test from everyone. Same thing as Whyte was making him money and PPVs. Fast forward when Whyte was washed and failed another test and AJ rematch got cancelled, did he back Whyte about test, no, not even a word of backing, why because he was basically washed at that point outside of the AJ rematch they tried to sell Whyte was not going to be a regular headliner ppv at that point. Do not feel sorry for any of them. They will all do what is best for their financial interest.

Eggsactly this. Eddie wasn't backing him because he felt like being a nice person. He was trying to make money off/with him. It's business, simple as that. Anybody thinking otherwise is naive imo.

Well with Opetia and now Benn, that's out the window.

Now other fighters will look in and think, I want some of that money.

Rumour has it that Frank has fallen out with Turki. And clearly Turki is doing the dirty on Eddie while pretending to keep him close.

Why anyone would trust this guy, I've never known. To me, it seemed obvious from the start what he was doing. Coming in, using Eddie and Frank to make some noise and fobbing them off at the first opportunity.

But, they saw the £ signs and couldn't resist. I don't think they should have gone near him and if I'm them I'd be worried at the moment. Turki has unlimited funds and he now has power in the sport, he owns the ring magazine, he was Zuffa with a massive US TV Deal that he's piggybacked off the UFC and he's soon looking like he's going to have a Sky TV deal.

Also, he's just a weird guy I think. Likely needs a hard drive check.

Benn will fight as Zuffa fighter but on Ring Cards. Turki will pay. The next signings will be Ryan Garcia, Shakur and maybe Haney. They will line up Benn with one of these guys. Ryan might go into depression for the next years if he losses to Barrios but Haney and Shakur are very likely

Boxing either comes together and opens up for a big change or Zuffa will take over and turning boxing into a product without soul that robs and supresses everyone.

All big promoters need to come together and completely stop working with Turki. Top Rank and PBC need to join forces and find one network or maybe even better Matchroom, Queensberry, Top Rank, PBC and Goldenboy all partner up and go with DAZN and only make the absolute mega fights on Amazon prime. Currently they have fights on Prime all 3-4 month so that should be fine.

The sanctioning bodies need to get their act together as well maybe they fusion into 2 or 3 and they need to align on top 15 rankings at least 10 out of 15 fighters should be aligned in the rankings and make it mandatory to unify.
These promoters must keep the top guys at all cost you cant lose Benavidez, Mason, Vergil, Bam, Itauma, Boots. I could name some more but these guys must be locked in in long terms contracts no matter what. As long as you have hold of these guys Zuffa will destroy itself boxing fans and fighters will realise very quick who these guys really are.
